I just had a scary thought....where are the refs from for the Bama game?
I worry about their tight ends and the lack of experience at whip. It didn't click until this morning when reading the Alabama Game Preview that we might have some trouble with Alabama's tight ends, similar to the struggles we had with Stanford. With every passing hour, I'm starting to worry that this game might end up like that one. I'm starting to see some similarities.

Agreed. Even when VT was at its best ESPN still didn't give us much respect. I am looking forward to this new foxsports 1 thing. haha
I think what bugs me the most is this:
I understand we are an underdog and our chances our slim. But I have not heard a single analyst or writer say "Wait a minute here guys, this is Virginia Tech, Bama should win but this isn't a gimme for them."
It's like you said, they just look ahead and act like we're chopped liver.

Like you said, there's no way the Hokies win this unless Logan Thomas has the game of his life, and the defensive line is dominant.
I think both of those are very possible.

Clearly we would be in better shape if Newsome were a better coach and had done a better job of playing talent and potential over tenure on the line, then our raw and inexperienced backups wouldn't be so inexperienced... but... we know how that went. Sometimes being in coaching (or management) comes down to making the least bad decision with the tools and resources that are available.

I assume she is saying JCC is hurt(ish), Exum didn't return (duh, only Antone thought he would be back) and Grimes' gamesmanship of not naming a starting OL until last week is seen as further "uncertainty." (or maybe Shuman's injury)

you know that feeling you get when you hear College Gameday on the TV in the background, while you're getting your tailgate stuff ready. Pulling out your cornhole sets, loading up the cooler, firing up the smoker, thinking about the games that day...I need to try and capture that into a video. The tailgater's/gameday anthem, haha.
