Well he is 6'6" 250+ pounds. Be prepared to hear thatevery single game again this season.

I know what the old "normal" is, but what I'm saying is no one knows what the new "normal" is now that Loeffler is here. I won't make guesses, but I suspect it will be an improvement over what we used to know.

North Carolina at South Carolina -11.5
Ole Miss -3.5 at Vanderbilt
Alabama -19.5 vs Virginia Tech
Georgia -1.5 at Clemson
LSU -4.5 vs TCU
Boise State at Washington -3.5

I just realized today that my friend is the one putting up the letters and big VT logo on the back of the scoreboard. He says that he's not putting anything up on either side of the VT (just the corrugated metal is there) and hasn't seen anything about that. If they are putting other stuff up there, they aren't going through his company. So it looks like there will either be a ton of open space, or they're going through another company.

I don't think he will be worse either. Like you said, that's impossible. But the Miami game is the exception, not the rule. A "normal" LT performance is about a 55% completion percentage, 2 TD's for everyone 1 TO, and some rushing yards. That's pretty good, but it will be tough to beat good teams with numbers like those.

Great preview. let's get it Hokies!

...Ha Ha Dix. Sorry I had to.

I think LT has definitely underperformed. As you clearly state, Miami is the only game I like to remember of his. However, Loeffler is in town and has been working hard on fixing and making LT into a better QB...I don't see him regressing, I don't see how he could be worse than last season.

And here's your pessimistic/realistic view of things:

In two seasons, Logan has played ONE great game. One!! And that's the Miami game that everyone remembers so fondly. In those same two seasons, he has played terribly close to 5 games. He has some pretty good games during that time, but he also has plenty of below average performances too. I'm not trying to bash the guy, but the reality is that he is a very medioce QB. There's no denying that he's a great athlete, because he is. He's bigger than everyone. He has a stronger arm that everyone. And for his size, he moves pretty well. But that stuff doesn't help you throw an accurate pass. That stuff doesn't win you games.

I really hope he plays better this year. I do. But right now, we as fans have to take off our marron tinted glasses and be prepared for a Sean Glennon performance as opposed to a Tyrod Taylor one.

It feels better to have A. Although the pain of B is worse, it is clearly the best option. I would rather lose knowing we could have won, rather than lose knowing we never had a chance. Regardless, I want to win.

Option B will hurt the most. And it'll be something we are all angry about, but at the end of the day that's something that will get people talking about us. But in a close game LT3 always comes up big.

No, we will play competitive enough to get every VT fans heart wrapped into it. And then just fall a part.

(no what I want to have happen, what I believe... uggggg)

I am ok with something new and more modern...I just want it to stick around and become an image instead of changing every 2-4 years.

Option A would hurt more. As much as I hate the near misses I think the confidence it would give the team would be awesome. Also the boost in national perception wouldn't hurt either.

I'd rather see the latter of those two...just for the simple fact that at the end of the day the score is all people are going to talk about and 31-30 doesn't sound as damaging to the Hokies as 33-17

I am so excited for this game!!! LET'S GO!!!!!

I wish they'd fucking announce it already so I could Frey this both like Futurama.

Take my money, Tech bookstore!

To hit a few things discussed above:
-Call me optimistic, but i would be absolutely shocked if our defense gives up over 35 points. The only way that happens is if LT throws a few pick 6s
-You want to know why ESPN never gives us credit? Because no one gives a shit about Virginia Tech. From a national perspective, the only area that cares about us is Virginia. Moreover, ESPN has an agenda to promote certain things (most obviosuly, the SEC) so they will gear their discussions towards that. This is why any intellectual sports fan has completely distances themselves from ESPN atricles and any program other than sportscenter. ESPN shows their bias their too, but if you need highlights, that's really the only place to go.
-HD is probably a writer because she is good at nothing else. And she is a sports writer because she is too butch to cover anything else. Of course your above average sports fan (like us) can write more intellegent sports articles, but most of us have better things to do with our time.

Based on Joe's twitter comment about them being the tits. I honestly think the grey is happening and i don't think it'll be the standard design. Why break out a new Uni if its just the same old design
