I doubt you have that issue Horse. If anything you can't zoom out enough...

Awesome early morning reading. Pure nirvana reading this while enjoying my coffee.

Bart Scott can't wait.

I think solid maroon with a nice deep grey color...Maroon numbers with orange outline, then have the classic LSU shoulder stripes like we do: orange maroon orange. That would look cool.

Or more simply, solid grey jersey with maroon numbers and an orange outline with a single orange stripe.

Although, Adidas is doing that stretch mark thing on uni's right now...not a fan of that. And also, I'm not stalking your posts, I am just doing my morning read lol

I just hope the pregame weather isn't like 2004 USC. That was the only time in my life that I have gone shirtless at a tailgate.

MV7 had an O-coordinator who never averaged less than 29 points per game...bustle was his name I think. Then steinspring came along and didn't do bad, but as you said, the quarterbacks could change plays with their legs.

What got me mad was during games, a buddy of mine and myself could literally predict 80% of the plays. Obviously we were not incredibly football savvy, we were only calling, run left, outside run, short pass left etc. But sadly, we were calling a vast majority of the plays correctly! This isn't madden! I shouldn't be able to sit in the DC's booth and be able to defend a legitimate college program...It infuriated me. The only thing I could think of was Steinspring was sitting in the booth thinking: "This is so predictable they will never guess!!"

I am glad we hung on to him for his recruiting prowess...but that's it.

Grey...? Maybe. Picture this: Classic helmet which we got conformation on, Gray jersey with Maroon numbers, gray pants with Maroon Nike Swoosh on the pelvis and maroon seam running vertical on the side of the pants with black cleats. Wouldn't look bad IMO. I'm not a fan of different uni's every week and I too prefer the late 90's/early 2000's look.

As for the complaining about the "old" pictures on the back of the scoreboard....VPI did play football prior to 1993. There is a history to the team, I mean, this is our 120th season.
And, chosing just 2 people or images to plaster on the back would be too difficult to narrow down, causing just as much debate and probably similar results. I don't have any issues with the proposed back honestly.
(And they "retired" the fighting gobbler at the end of last season, thus the helmets we wore in the bowl game.)

Right, sorry, that's why I gave the warning. But their traditional look is pretty nice. I'm kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place up here in State College, on a Virginia Tech discussion board, complimenting Michigan's uniform style.

But we'd probably have to abandon Nike for Adidas to get this type of look (which I'm all for).

I read this before watching the video for the first time last night, and I was waiting to hear HCFB say something to Moorehead that struck me the wrong way, but I didn't see it. He clearly knows how to treat his coaches, and in both cases when he talked to Moorehead he took him to the side to talk instead of giving him instructions in front of the players and other coaches. I don't think there was anything amiss with those exchanges.

I had heard this before as well, and it frustrates me and makes me wonder what our coaches were doing.

I'm no expert on personnel development or leadership, but I don't want to bring up my new team members to follow exactly what I say. I want to show them how I make decisions and teach them how to think for themselves and make decisions on their own to support our collective goals. Eventually, I want them to be confident enough to lead teams themselves. If I can't develop that in another person, I shouldn't be leading them at all.

I think this might fit into why MV7, Randall, and Tyrod were good. When plays broke down, there suddenly was no instruction from the coaches on how to handle the situation. They just went and knew to do the things they knew they had to do to make our team successful, if only because they had the freedom to take charge (and, scramble drill!).

I was thinking the same thing. You don't look at someone creating a sculpture who is halfway done and say that it's horrible. You wait until they are done. They still have work to do to finish it up.

Nothing yet, but I am searching every nook and cranny of the internet looking for even a hint.

The twitter handle of VTFBEquipment is still mysteriously quiet.

As soon as they hit, expect an announcement here within seconds.
