I wonder how many more losing seasons UVA can go through before these recruits realize that Mike London's "build a dynasty" spiel is nonsense...? When they realize that 3 or 4 five star players don't make a whole team?

Orange Camo Busch Light

Protip: The orange camo makes it taste better.

But the first couple games are rough after getting to enjoy German beer in vast quantities all summer.

Clemson fans I've seen have been awful. Have family at South Carolina after a win against Clemson, Tigers fans keyed their car, stabbed the tires, and broke off the mirrors after the game. Hard for me to have any respect for them since that incident.

exactly my thoughts when reading that...London is a desperate man and well, "desperation is a stinky cologne"

Best Fan Base I've experienced is Clemson. They're not rude or cocky; they're just really jolly about wearing lots of orange stuff and cheering those tigers.

Another take...drunkest fan base I've ever encountered was LSU 2007. There are about 90,000 people in Baton Rouge that probably need intervention. I'm pretty sure most of those guys started tailgating for that game the Saturday before.

Honestly the worst fans I've come across were Stanford fans in the Orange Bowl. My family was right next to the student section and we were constantly pestered the entire game. Most of them were obnoxiously drunk and had very little football knowledge. One girl actually asked me if Tech had ever been to a bowl game before... I remember their students eventually started chanting "state school" once they took a commanding lead. I thought that was the most conceded thing ever. I eventually cussed out one of their fans right in front of my parents, and they didn't even care because of how bad it had gotten. People actually complemented me afterwords because they had gotten so out of hand.

EDIT: Sorry this is a double post, but I meant to post it here the first time

WVU, Maryland, Miami, FSU

They are without a doubt the worst in no particular order

I agree, I think we see a lot of sets where Demitri, and Stanford are out wide, and DJ comes from various positions in the backfield.

Oh god, that would be horrible. But there's also no need to say anything but "Hokies." There are at least three schools that are the Aggies. There's only one Hokienation.

Dear wisec4g,

That's just as bad.

Sincerely,
A depressed Nats fan

But actually, you guys are wiping the floor with us this year....

Even if they're trying to follow the rules, players sometimes slip up. A great example is David Wilson at the Orange Bowl a couple years ago. He was confused about a rule and thought he only needed to be in the hotel by curfew, not in his room and ended up missing at least a quarter, maybe even a half because of it. College kids do stupid stuff, act without thinking, over sleep, etc. all the time. From everything we've heard out of him, he's learned from it, is trying to put it behind him, etc. As long as he doesn't have recurring problems, I don't think it will be a big issue.

The ones on that list that jump out to me are Buffalo and Jacksonville. Those are fan bases that need a kick of energy more than anything right now; something to get excited about. Tyrod is definitely an exciting player and someone who you would pay to watch play.

Realistically though, he could go anywhere that there is a need for him. The QB market when his current contract is up will likely be the deciding factor. I expect that he will end up signing with somebody who needs a QB at that time and has no commitment to a current guy at that position. He will probably have to win the spot over the offseason and in camp if he wants it.

Aything can happen though.

Williams might get cut from what I've read. But as for where Tyrod would have a chance, keep in mind that a lot of teams have quarterbacks who are getting old and don't have long term solutions after that. And when I say a lot, I mean around half the league. There's gonna be a major run on quarterbacks in the next couple years.

Clemson Alum are great, students not so much. Probably is the case for a lot of schools though. Boise State was the worst experience for me. And it's a shame that one person would ruin it for all, but this girl with blue hair was absolutely classless. After the game we were walking by and she was just running her mouth. Saying all kinds of vulgar stuff and a friend actually stopped to deal with her so I turn around to grab him. The guy with the girl I think was even shocked by how she was and was trying to pull her away. I think that is the only time I have really just wanted to lay a girl out. I'm a laid back guy so it takes a lot to bother me that much but she went too far and then some.

Michigan fans were pretty good. Didn't have much contact with Nebraska fans, but that's pretty much like no news is good news so I'll take everyone's word on them.

I bet there are a bunch of guys limping off the field with ice on their knees after the first few days of camp. Their bodies likely aren't used to that. DJ's knee im sure is strong but isnt used to the torque you can only get from game like experiences. It will take a few weeks to get it game strong i'm sure.

What teams do you think Tyrod would have a (meaningful) shot at gaining a starting position? I know Arizona just got C. Palmer, but I'd really like to see TT & RMFW reunite in a backfield (if Williams ever gets healthy, damnit).

Buffalo, Miami, Jacksonville, and Kansas City are all possible landing spots where he could realistically challenge for a shot at the starting position, I think.
