Thank God, with respect to your bullet point number 2. With all the talk of Offensive Line woes, RB talent deficiency, and secondary depth being culprits last year, I was afraid everyone had forgotten that the real problem was skinny Frank Beamer being half the coach (Ha?...) that Fat Frank Beamer is. Glad to hear he's getting back up to his 'coaching weight'.
It's the University Identity Standards that call for either the full name or just Virginia Tech. "Virginia Tech University" is explicitly cited as wrong. http://www.branding.unirel.vt.edu/identity-overview/about-our-name.html
VPISU so technically they are correct. Though I think somewhere in the Athletic Programs they tell media to say "just Virginia Tech" and no other variation. Still better than them putting VaTech up there. It irks me just to even type that.
