i know, i love how the word "smart" is on the top of the design. not smart enough to actually do coursework, but you know, smart enough for unc.

who's their qb gonna be? bane gayle needs to annihilate him just for this.

Were they actually the "coastal divison champion"? Since they were ineligble for post-season play (and therefore the championship game)...I believe Georgia Tech was the CD champion (not to mention Miami). Did GT get rings and declare themselves divisionals champs? If so, you can only have 1...wonder what the offical ACC guide says about it?

This falls into the same category as those trophies my kids got for a fourth place finish in a four team league in soccer. Thanks for Participating.

ohio state also went 12-0 haha. not that i think they should get rings for it but its more reasonable than an 8-4 season when you one your division

If you want to see the general plans for Virginia Tech in the future, check out the master plan presentation from a few years ago:

http://www.facilities.vt.edu/MasterPlan/

or in PDF form: http://www.facilities.vt.edu/MasterPlan/VATech2006-2016MasterPlan.pdf (I like this one better than the CD-on-a-website)

It's a nice look through and you can definitely see how they are implementing parts of it now and in the near future. Some of it is dated (talks of a new basketball practice facility!) with stuff that has since been built.

And a newer update to it that talks a lot about off campus VT properties: http://www.facilities.vt.edu/documents/oup/masterplan/2009_land_use.pdf

The largest proportion of juniors and seniors lives along Patrick Henry, which is a good 20 minute walk to surge but if going to the other side of campus it is a pain to go there and back everyday. Also, if you live in collegiate suites/hunters ridge its impossible to get a bus to the residential side of campus for the gym or any classes over there. I take the buses sporadically but unless you ride it in the morning the BT is very inconsistent

To some extent, I wonder if LT is thinking about getting his mechanics right, thereby tying up his mind and slowing his thought process on his progressions. Hopefully this is something that can get straightened out over the summer. I think once things become second nature to LT, we could be looking at a very good QB.

I think the difference is that Saban and Beamer are HEAD coaches. Naturals. Jimbo is a position coach/co-ordinator by nature, and is trying to learn the head coaching skill-set. I think it can be learned, but those who come by it naturally develop the team concept better.

CORRECTION--French's analysis of Tech football is the best, free OR paid. Thanks to French, I dropped my subscription to TSL. Coleman and Stewart are nice guys and good reporters, but when it comes to Xs and Os, French forgets more football before breakfast than they have ever known...

There are some schools that throw their best pitcher against the other team's number two to create a better scenario for a stronger game 2.

Great as always French. While I agree that Logan locked on a bit on the first interception, Knowles can not let Greene get between him and the ball that is rule number 1 as a receiver, you must stay between the ball and the defender. He has to be much stronger especially at the goal line. I look forward to watching the progression of Thomas and Loeffler and you can already see based on the limited film that we have, Logan is playing with a renewed energy compared to last year.

FSU and Miami keep having the exact same problem. They are among the most talented teams in the country year after year, but they never figure out how to be a team. Solving this issue is what makes Saban a generational coaching talent. He gets the talent and then has the skill set to translate that into a team. I don't know if I'd call Jimbo a "bad coach" I just don't think his skill set is motivating individuals to play as a team. Very few people have said skill set. In fact I think Beamer has it more than most coaches if you look back at our history of "no names" playing as a team I think it shows that he does. If we get some top shelf talent and continue playing as a team, Beamer can do something special.
