and most relevant to our in state "rivals"...yes, I called them rivals :)

I'd googled NCAA 03...since it was So Damn Long Ago, heck we didn't even have the first of our xbox 360s as my oldest, now a teenager, had just turned 4

Taking Classes at NOVA (DAME) in Annandale, VA. outside of DC. The fighting commuters. At NOVA where the N stands for Knowledge and the OVA stands for your career.

I thought everyone's comments were better than the stats I crunched.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, we'll see what happens tomorrow night against Miami.

I believe Danny Coale, who is still open by the way, was a two star, and Boykin was two or three? These two panned out pretty dag on well for us. Re wrote record books from the likes of Freeman and Royal and some good wrs before them. I dont think that blue chip stuff really means anything.

I was about to say lets go after some of their WR recruits...but none of them have offers from us.

Zima still had 5 years before it would be discontinued in the U.S.

This was the Top Ten at the Box Office (most of which now seem to have a dedicated set of weekend replays on FX or TNT):

1. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
2. Finding Nemo

4. The Matrix Reloaded
5. Bruce Almighty
6. X2: X-Men United
7. Elf
8. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
9. The Matrix Revolutions
10. Cheaper By The Dozen

EA Sports has this really odd habit of releasing their games a year "early", for example Madden 13 was released in summer of 2012, before the 2012 season. NCAA Football 2003 was released in summer of 2002. Carson Palmer was on the cover of NCAA Football 2004, which was released in 2003.

I completely tore my ACL and was back to playing sports 6 months later. Like most of you, I was worried that if I went too hard, I'd reaggrivate the injury and retear the ligament. The guy in charge of my rehab told me that after the 4 month mark, the replaced ligament is just as strong as the original. It's a matter of restrengthening the knee, and getting comfortable with it (being able to trust your own knee)

People that say it takes up to a year to recover are simply incorrect. It may take a year for the knee to feel the exact same as it was prior to surgery, however at about the 6 month mark, you can do just about anything without reinjuring the knee. The hardest part of the process is getting comfortable again. If Antone is able to make it back in time for pre-season practice, he will get comfortable with it really quickly.

The Hokies were in the big east

Nick Saban had not won a Natl Championship

Alabama was 4-9 (2-6 SEC), with losses to N Illinois & Hawaii

Joey Harrington was on the cover of EA Sports NCAA football

Eminem's "Lose Your Self" was #1 on the billboards...

and damn i was still in high school

This topic would be perfect for a Tumblr, but I'm too lazy to create one.

pointed that out somewhere a few weeks ago, the trifecta of today's most popular social sites hadn't been introduced yet

Commonwealth Cup has been in our possession for 2,985 consecutive days

9-0 in last nine games
VT hasn't lost an ACC conference game to the fighting zimas

The Hokies are 13-1 over the past fourteen years and have outscored our rivals 423 to 182
yes 423-182

Enough said

Go Hokies!!!

Supposedly all the vending machines in Pritchard are on the ground floor now because of some guys that lived there same time that my dad lived in Lee.

Also, supposedly, it's possible for a soda machine to fall 4 floors onto concrete and still be partially functional.

I think YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter were all invented after the last time UVa beat Tech.

A few interesting tidbits in there. One in particular is that Loeffler and Grimes are still on Auburn's payroll for another 18 months, and we're giving them a reduced salary until their Auburn contracts expire, which I find a bit odd.
