Would have thought VT -2 or so. Interesting take by Vegas.
Yea, I'm sure Vincent, Corey, and Kyle had nothing to do with it. Definitely all you. To you sir, I say Bravo.
looks like UVA F Darion Atkins and Wood are both game time decisions. it might come down to those contributions, if they play, in a close game. see ya there. hopefully we wont get snowed in
You must really love acc basketbal/college basketball as a whole with the abundance of offensive ineptitude this year
I wouldn't be surprised to see him play, he has been practicing fully with the team for the last week or so. Could definitely use him tonight.
Everyone come out and get loud.
This. Is. AWESOME. Also, Cornell Brown seems like he might eventually give Torrian a run for Bud's job when the time comes.
25 wins?
They stink offensively, we stink defensively.
They are good defensively, we are good offensively.
I could see both teams struggling to make 33% of their shots and maybe get to 40. It will be brutal....and I love it. I love it when teams play defense and points are hard to come by. I like 10-7 football games, 2-1 baseball games and soccer by anyone older than 8 year olds.
It's an oldie-but-a-goodie from TKP archives.
All I know is that I can't escape wahoos. Even here at law school in South Carolina, there's one in my section.
We better win. I took part in zero trash talk today, but I'd like to avoid defending the basketball program with "38-0" and "double icing the kicker." I'd like for the basketball program to defend itself with an outright win.
Anyway, it's worth noting that UVA hasn't won on the road in the ACC yet. They lost back-to-back road games to Wake and Clemson.
Also, +1 for the alliteration in the title. Well played.
thats just embarrassing.
"get after 'em when I need to."
"yellin' at 'em, gettin' after 'em if I need to be."

enjoyed watching him bulldoze not one, but two kids at 1:34.
Kid makes everyone on the field including the refs look like children. He's huge.
That was worth the watch, thanks for sharing!
i didnt even know this happened until watching vt sports today the other day. btw, can we get some hd cameras for vt sports today? it looks like absolute shit.
After the last TD, which was a fumble recovery in the end zone, the announcer said "They've already wasted the fireworks. They can't take the points off now." They weren't sure if the play would be called back since it was kicked forward into the end zone.
More guys are going to be playing their nuts off!
Frank Beamer knows a thing or two about having a good time on the beach:

Vick, Tyrod, Thomas.... we very well might be on our way to being known for our QBs, especially if some of these guys (Hodges, Parker, etc.) work out.
Anyone else as stoked as I am to see a recruit who hasn't even signed his LOI recruiting his friends?

the right tool for the job can make. As a fanbase we stressed over the perfect hire for months, but lost sight of the fact that we simply had the wrong tool for the job in our previous coaching configuration.
The engineer/guy in me routinely does this:
1) acknowledge problem
2) draft tool/solution agnostic requirements
3) brainstorm possible solutions
4) narrow down final choices
5) select and implement
When we were stressing over Pep, we were well into phase 4 and didn't realize it. Things were bad. The problems were addressed, and splitting hairs over which coach to hire is a little like arguing over which microbrew to order or LCD vs plasma. Things are going to be much better, and I am pretty stoked about it.
By far my favorite hire of the Beamer era. Pretty stoked to see how our OL does in upcoming years.

Perhaps this will be the spark that forces the NCAA to clean itself up.
This is what Vanderbilt defensive backs coach George Barlow had to say about Moorehead.
"Not a lot of offensive guys go to those sessions," Barlow said this week.
But that Barlow said is part of what makes Moorehead, hired last week as the new wide receivers coach at Virginia Tech, an effective football coach.
"He really studies the game," said Barlow, who worked with Moorehead while both were on the staff at New Mexico in 2009. "He’s not just one of those guys who goes out there and says, 'Well I played the game, so I know.' He not only tries to learn the offensive side but he studies the defensive side too."

When asked about blocking on Twitter, he had this to say, " I can say very confidently that blocking will not be an issue!" -- https://twitter.com/Amo8685/status/293938637454852097

bringing 2-3 friends with me. 2 are Bama fans.
