Might just be that some of the top prep schools for athletics are in Virginia. Makes a bit of sense, since most prep schools tend to be military-related.
Main one I was confused about is Wright, since he, too, went to prep school. Did he qualify last year but just choose to postpone his enrollment and go to FUMA to have something to do?
Does this sentence confuse anyone else?
He is ranked the No. 27 prep player in the country, the No. 3 prep offensive tackle and the No. 19 prep player in Virginia by 247Sports.
If he is #27 in the country and #19 in VA, does that mean 18 of the top 26 players in the country are from VA? Am I off here?
Know a close friend of Seth Dooley's. He will arrive at 6-5 250+ with some speed. Lots of potential. Good kid too.
Baron, Dooley, & Wright= Greyshirts signed last yr but count to this year scholarship totals (way for teams to work around ncaa scholarship limits)
McLaughlin & Harris= Prepped able to sign new NLI's
It's the same situation as Drew Harris. McLaughlin and Harris both didn't qualify so they went to prep school. They were then released from their NLoI and will sign a new one this recruiting cycle. Baron, Dooley, and Wright all agreed to postpone enrollment until the Spring semester. Therefore, they are eligible, but just didn't enroll until later and this still bound to their NLoI
but figured there had to be a reason, and it's a year old now. I didn't want to be the person who brought it to attention
But it also says that Baron, Dooley and Wright's NLIs were still binding. What allowed McLaughlin to change his commitment?
Just trying to learn more about the recruiting process, and some of the rules and regs
Hopefully he can provide some depth, he's listed as 6'2 225 pounds https://docs.google.com/a/vt.edu/viewer?url=http://www.forkunion.com/sit...
my guess is that it was photoshopped or something. There's no way Nike reached out to JC4 for an ad.
4. Haven't we already been recruiting Florida a bit over the last few years? I remember us having taken a few guys from down there. Between Torrian and Wiles, we've brought in a bunch of guys: Jayron Hosley, Mark Leal, Luther Maddy (all 3 from Atlantic Community High School), Donaldven Manning, and some other guys that haven't contributed much.
And years ago, we brought in Brandon Flowers and David Clowney from Atlantic Community. We aren't ignoring the state, and none of the guys that have connections down there are leaving. But it would be nice to get an even larger presence in the state.
5. I'm sure whatever happens, the old staff will pass their connections on to the new staff. I bet that Shane and/or Stiney are working on that right now. I wouldn't be surprised if each of the new guys has a "home base" region in the mid-Atlantic, but then also have free reign over their old stomping grounds as well to bring in a few guys.
BC was most definitely the worst!
my guess is because nike owns us.
LT3's "38-0 bro", this, or Gayle's tweet to Morgan Moses?
If nothing else, I think its a slam dunk that we would DOMINATE in a twitter-off.
#beatbama (and if we can't beat em on the field, we certainly will kick the shit out of them on twitter!)
How is JC allowed to even be in this Nike add?
I never knew Alabama fans were so clever and witty... oh wait
I'm really looking forward to Shane's 2013 edition of comments on UVAs spring game.
Anyone else?
The smartass talking about #beatbama got out in his place! Shane was with SC in 2010 and they beat them! Classic!
At least he admitted to being an idiot about it...
I'm an idiot. RT @sdlogg: @evil_sparky no, it is announcing Logan Thomas is staying.— Evil Sparky (@Evil_Sparky) January 16, 2013
To be fair, the bump to ESPNU had nothing to do with who hosted CFB Live. Tessitore is almost always the host, and Davis/May/Holtz are rarely, if ever, on it. Those three do the broadcasts when there is actually a game on.
I like it.
I hope we at least make another push for him. We might be able to pull it off. Green & Harris together would be awesome.
I enjoyed it immensely. Took a look at "Evil Sparky" on twitter too. Troll is far too nice a term for the guy. He seems to enjoy p.o.-ing everyone. He says nothing good, and deserves nothing good to be said for/about him.
HAHAHA! What idiots! Shane is the man.

He was asked to greyshirt. Basically, they postpone enrolling until the Spring. They can take classes at a prep school if they wish, but that's their choice. They are academically eligible to enroll in the Fall but wait so they are still bound to their NLoI. Hopefully that makes a little more sense.
