Loeffler absolutely has an identity. Go watch some Temple tape (not temple highlights, go watch an entire game) and do the same with early in the year Auburn tape (some Auburn fans say that chizik took over the offense about half-way through the year and Loeffler lost control of what was happening).
Loeffler is pro-style, but he doesn't just pick plays from a hat. He loves to use an H-back, he likes to zone-run to the strong side of the formation, likes cutback runs using the H-back as a trap blocker, really likes play-action using H-back cutting across the formation (difficult to defend if you're also using the H-back to trap block, will mess your keys up), he likes to pull Guards into holes and kick out with fullbacks, he likes the vertical passing game with some short passing packages.
From the shot-gun, he likes to use the QB as the power-option up the middle. Jet sweep, inverted veer running plays. WR, RB, TE middle screens are frequent, probably because the vertical passing routes force the defense to back off on the edges.
Loeffler has a rhyme and reason for what he is doing out there. Much more so than what i've seen out of Stinespring for the past decade.
