This is like picking between Nazi Germany and the USSR. As a staunch southern advocate I might alter every bit of my history and root for the domers for two reasons:
1. Go ACC (sort of)
2. If ND wins they'll be the only team in history to have won the National Championship and
have the highest graduation rate. That is the type of team I'd rather have on the top than the likes of the $EC. Even if their fans are unbearable.
Plus I have Team SEC fatigue
and would be surprised for wholesale changes before National Signing Day....all the coaching changes could lead to our incoming class imploding which could set us back a couple years...especially if Bucky Hodges were to change his commitment with Newsome headed to JMU. For all the talk about Stinespring being the super recruiter, he only appears to have brought in two kids in this upcoming class. That would be Clark and Motuapuaka. Newsome actually brought in about five kids so that could hurt. Shane Beamer was the rock star as far as recruiting for this class goes though.
Both are extremely hated, but Duke is Duke. And everyone really hates Duke because they are really big bitches.

I am stoked about these guys joining next season. I of course am excited about Fuller but I am equally excited about Teller.
ND just isn't the hate vessel they used to be to me anymore. Which is shocking, because I do not like Brian Kelly at all. Maybe it is some fundamental appreciation of how they played this year....which is to say...Beamerball at its best. Watch Everett Golston and tell me that's not Tyrod Taylor......
There is an interesting angle to this game tonight: future NFL Hall of Famer Nick Saban's last college game! Yay!

Good Counsel This is for the player who provided the best coverage on defense during the week, and there is no tougher decision to make here with so many amazing defensive backs in San Antonio. Fuller had the only two credited pass breakups in the game, the best interception of the week and he was simply very consistent in coverage overall
Lunch pail
Wyatt Teller, Liberty (Va.) Bealton
What's the difference between Hard Hat and Lunch Pail? The Hard Hat Award is for the biggest hitter, while the Lunch Pail Award is for the guy who does the dirty work that doesn't get into the boxscore or noticed by many. Teller is one of many players who had a great week in practice, was solid in the game playing his role but was overshadowed a bit.
coaches' convention is over. And I really doubt any announcement will be made today since the national championship game is tonight. We shall see! :)

I can (kind of) stomach Alabama fans because the team has actually earned it. When Alabama was struggling in the late 90s/early 2000s, you really didn't hear the arrogance from them as we have from ND fans over the last 20 years. I cannot imagine how annoying they'd be if ND won.
Alabama because I hate Notre Dame fans and I want to play against the defending national champs in Atlanta.

I vote the Notre Dame fans and for that reason alone I hope that Alabama wins. Also, if they win hopefully Saban leaves which will set the stage for the biggest upset in Virginia Tech's history #BEATBAMA
