.........about not making official statements. LOL! We shall see monday.

Let me be clear about something as to make sure there is no confusion:

I heard this today and I believe the source is valid enough for me to post this here.

This may or may not happen. This is coming out of left field for me and I don't really know if it makes sense or not. I personally don't want to talk about this aside from just posting what I heard.

Just wanted to be clear that this isn't a certainty. I have seen a few tweets today saying something along the lines of: "Things will get interesting in Blacksburg on Monday."

So as I said previously, take it as you will. I completely understand the skepticism, but I guess we will all see come Monday.

BREAKING: STINEY TO COACH VOLLEYBALL, O'CAIN TO WNBA

I'm hoping there will be SOME sort of changes come Monday!

but it was phrased as an announcement that would be made soonish but not executed for a few years. So that Beamer and Weaver hold a joint press conference announcing that x year will be Weaver's last as AD and Beamer's last as HC. Beamer as AD makes sense at some point in the future, but I doubt he wants to leave coaching right now.

For the record, I have absolutely no connections inside the program and my 'source' such as it is, is something I remember reading on another VT blog, so take this with a huge block of salt.

There's always the question of whether we'd be interested in him... which I doubt.

I don't believe it, I haven't heard anything that would speak to it, but who the hell knows.

Recently, when Frank's been asked about retirement he's said something like, "As long as I have a good quarterback, I'll coach." And I'm not saying that to enforce the notion he might retire because of LT3's status, but because I think it has been Frank's way of saying he's not ready to hang it up.

Either way, Skipper thanks for posting what you've heard, but I think there's a 99.9999999999999% certainty the Frankinator will be roaming the sideline in 2013.

Are you confusing JC and Holmes. I want to see JC's name penned in as a starter at both RB and KR. Of all of the backs he ran the ball the hardest game in game out. When every other back would pussy foot around he darted to the hole his body-be-damned. He easily had the most heart of all of the backs and by far had the best games. I know I did not watch every game (getting rid of Dish was a huge mistake!), but outside of the first game I do not recall him fumbling. Definitely could have missed it, but I don't recall.

I still think Frank will finish out his contract as HC at the very least

Yeah I can see that as well, but I don't believe Shane is ready to be a coordinator.

Yeah I didn't look up the actual number so I wrote sub-4.4

would much rather see shane moved to special teams and have a new OC bring his positions staff with him.

to quote French: "BE THE BULLY, BEAT BAMA"

I would've thought he would've had a shot prior to now. I could see Frank taking over as the AD....would make sense- an Osborne-esque move.

I've heard enough to know that Bud Foster won't ever be HC. The odds of Chip Kelly being our next HC are better than Bud being next HC.

This is old news. Our program did everything it could to shield Chase from the fallout of the bounty scandal.

But, I do believe Knowles registered a 4.2 not 4.4 40-yd dash.

We've gone through this for years. Every year we call for major overhauls and we never get it, obviously this year is worse than others so it's more likely to happen, but I'm going to continue being cautious. I don't want to get my hopes up only to be disappointed.

Pros: Erick Green, Raines, Beyer, Rankin

-Green is unreal, I think I've gotten to the point in the season where I stop caring about our record and just want him to lead the country in scoring.

-Raines played hard and Len might have scored 4 points when Raines was on him. He rebounded well and played good defense

-Beyer deserves every point he gets, some of our players can learn from that work ethic

-Rankin played great defense and almost got us back in it with the turnovers he was forcing

Cons: Eddie and Brown

The season is going to go with these two. If just one of them can start playing well then we'll do ok, but if they keep playing like this then the season is over. At least Eddie is still playing his game, Brown looks like he's forcing everything now.

Can't wait to see him unleashed by us!

I like it, but I don't like losing. Hopefully CJ steps it up.

Sometimes stats do not show the entire picture. For instance, our O this year was better than 07 according to stats, but I would take the offense that featured Morgan, Royal, Glennon and Tyrod over this years version. Additionally, WRT Stanford, their offense beat Oregon this year and kept up with Oregon last year. They were also able to win a conference championship this year with their O, our O coast us several games. (In fairness to the offense, our D cost us a couple games this year too but the D improved, the O seemed to regress) Not to mention that they put up similar numbers statistically as us when they had to replace the number 1 draft pick at QB and we returned what some believed was a top 5 pick this year.
