Keep winning and stay under the radar as long as possible. Probably a good thing for a young team. They'll get recognized soon enough.

WHO'S CUTTING ONIONS IN HERE? DAMMIT

Doesn't matter. Just keep winning and we'll get in eventually. Our schedule might allow us to go 13-0 or 12-1, so just keep playing hard and we'll be in good position come January.

Address the O-Line coaching issue and the O-Coord. issue and you will have a 6-6 2013 season with a better O-line, better O-line coach, and VT will score more points, just like you want.

It is not all about scoring points. It is all about winning.

Unless the losing tendencies and losing attitude and just plain "losing" is addressed, expect more losses.

Somehow the entire organization has to get back to thinking and acting like "winners". That will help more than anything.

Losing shouldn't be an option.

Our current SOS is 284th (of 347)

Ken Pom has us at 64th (up from somewhere in the 80s) - FYI - West VA is 58th - Okla St 30

Our RPI is 57 - West VA 147 - Okla St 15

Oh well. We'll just have to beat WVU this weekend. They can only keep us out for so long if we keep playing like this.

yes, we are doing amazingly well. but its still very early in the season and there are still some questions on our team that gotta be addressed. however if we get 1 or 2 more wins this week that will push us over the top 25 mountain. have patience :P. we'll get there

disagree. When our offense is only able to score half as many points against ACC teams that other ACC teams put over 30 on regularly (Clemson (x3), UVA, GT, BC, UM) then there is a huge problem with our offense. Yes, it is a team sport, and yes, there have been defensive and ST breakdowns. Nevertheless, the offense has been dysfunctional for the most part this season, and has been a continuing liability in many games over the past 5 years. Foster got the defense fixed by mid-season, no such change occurred on the offense.

We're ranked 27th (if you look at the Others Receiving Votes) in the AP Poll. Just keep winning Hokies! Big game against WVU next week, let's see what this team is made of.

VT losses last year can't be contributed to just the O-Line.

1)Pitt the entire run defense didn't show up.
2)Cincy the 2dary didn't show up.
3)UNC the D gave up almost 50.
4)Miami the special teams didn't show up. KO returns past midfield and a blocked punt. Maybe LTs worst game throwing the ball.
5)Florida St the D gave up a 4th and 2 on the ground with less than 2 min left and then gave up the big pass play.

Bottom line, all team losses. To pinpoint the qb or the o-line or certain coaches, just isn't accurate. Looks to me like more a lack of "winning".

And that maybe more of a frame of mind. Becoming comfortable with losing and finding a way to lose, is what plagued this team more than anything.

NIU is 12-1, a number that looks more impressive than it really is.

In conference play, they squeaked past Toledo by 7, Ball State by 12 and Western Michigan by 14. Western Michigan went 2-6 in the MAC. Their cross-division games were Buffalo (4-8), UMass (1-11), and Akron (1-11).

Outside of the conference:
They beat Army (2-9), 41-40.
They beat Kansas (1-11), 30-23.
They lost to Iowa (4-8).

Their "best" win was over a Kent State team that played a similar schedule, and lost to Kentucky (whose only other win was over Samford), though they did beat Rutgers.

Oh, and let's not forget that NIU lost their head coach to NC State immediately after winning the MAC title game, and their new guy will have the Orange Bowl as his first ever game as a head coach at any level.

But with the ACC's luck the way it has been in the BCS, FSU is doomed to fail.

Takes years to master while pushin out a grumper. Elite stance we got there.

So, if FSU gets destroyed by NIU, is it funny? Sad? Pathetic? Par for the course?

The OB has picked last in picking at-large teams this season and last season. Plus, along with all the rules of who has to be included (top 4 in BCS, etc.), by the time the OB gets to pick there aren't very many 'good' picks left.
