Starting to think it was just Tyrod being that good.

You know it's been a bad week when that other school takes care of business in Raleigh.

Not saying he's the right guy, and I have no idea if he is or not (I'm not good at those minds of things) but Gene Chizik may be out of a job here soon.

WARNING: THIS IS FROM AN RATED R MOVIE THE LANGUAGE/CONTENT IS BAD

I think a self inflicted bowl ban would be EXTREMELY intelligent on their behalf. By bowing out of the ACCCG and potential bowl it would do wonders to cut down on their punishment. I feel like they would get "blown up" again like the last FSU game. They are so young with lots of upside so if they decreased their punishment now it could open up great options for when these players are older and have more experience.

As for VT: This would be a great thing for VT fans and the team but it would totally keep us locked into a horrible Offensive coaching group. Beamer and everyone would see this a gift at first but quickly forget and still put that banner up in the field house and in Lane. If we have a true miracle gift from MIA then it could damage the case boosters, fans and critics are calling for. Just a new OC. Ralph Fridgen would be a great choice...just saying.

I am a Charlotte dude with tickets to the ACCCG so I of course want them in it but... I would also like changes so....i am torn.

I think with the way things ended at Maryland he'll want to come back for one last ride. They showed no respect to him when they fired him and that had to leave a bitter taste in his mouth.

2003 was followed by 2004 and 2005, both great seasons.

While we all get frustrated by Frank taking away positives from these awful games, I do think our team learns from times like these. Any team can win when they're in the zone and when everything is going their way. It's a different story when everything seems to be going against you (this year).

Clearly this season isn't as memorable as past seasons, but I'm hopeful for next season. Not to looking for a national championship, but hoping we can (at least) take back the coastal. Hoping our coaches can take a long look in the mirror and figure shit out.

Not trying to berate you or anyone else, but why be happy with four wins when we have five losses? I REALLY don't get it.

I agree with keeping the 12th man strong, and the 12th man will remain strong regardless. LANE is still gonna be packed and crazy in 5 days. That's never gonna change. As long as their Hokies football, there will be passionate Hokies fans. At least, that's how I see it.

Here's my point: I agree that Hokies shouldn't create accounts just to come on this site and hate on the team, but for the most part we all have our beloved Hokies' best interests at heart and during rough times, there will be negative opinions. We're upset and it makes sense. Let people voice their opinions and vent their frustration. Maybe we come on this site and vent because the majority of Key Players are feeling that same frustration (which seems to be the case to me). I find comfort in venting on this site, knowing that Hokies around the country are feeling similar feelings of disappointment. I'd rather vent to you guys than vent to my girlfriend who doesn't even like football. I can't speak for anyone else but all of my rants contain analysis and perspective, I'm not fucking captain obvious or whatever the term was - I've never just came on and said "We suck. We do this bad. Fire everybody." Now I feel like I need to analyze my posts for negativity which is bullshit. Bottomline is there's a reason for negativity, it's not like we're 9-0 and all we can do is focus on negatives. No, we're 4-5 which indicates we've done more bad than good. And there were plenty more negative posts after ours yesterday, but they weren't policing those posts.

Go Hokies and Go Hokie Nation!

I love this idea and I've been hoping for it since it became a possibility. Imagine getting the QB coach that produced Boomer Esiason and Frank Reich and giving him Logan Thomas to work with. We'd certainly see better results than this year.

The only question is why would a successful NFL OC and NCAA HC go back to being a college OC? The guy was offensive coordinator for an AFC champion team. I know he has a relationship with Beamer, but Beamer would need to be a pretty good salesman to make it happen. My hopes are not high.

In no particular order:

1. The play call on the overthrown 4th down pass to Philips left something to be desired. LT is right handed, so after the play fake he had his back to the receiver. He had to spin around, then instantly locate the receiver and make a throw off his back foot with a guy in his face. It isn't an impossible throw, but those are the kind of details our play design seems to ignore.

2. Why do we constantly play fake when the defense knows there's no chance of a run? We even play faked once when there was no running back. The play fake on the goal line at the end of the first half was a colossal waste of time, and may have cost us an extra chance at a TD (7-9 seconds left vs. 5) We knew there was limited time when it was called. Again, details.

3. I forgot what I was going to say here. I'm just generally extraordinarily disappointed with the offense. I am not a fire the coach type of guy and never have been, so it's especially frustrating for me that I've wanted changes since the 07 Orange Bowl and we're still dealing with this. Beamer needs to become a CEO and start making some tough decisions. Real changes on the staff, real decisions about who is going to carry the ball. Some people are going to be disappointed. This is D1 football. People are getting paid millions of dollars and going to college for free, with plenty of other perks. They can deal with it. Take your hokie club donation and give it to the university's general fund. They will put it to better use until the football staff gets the picture.

And while I'm complaining about stuff, what the hell is "hands on, minds on"? Besides being a stupid slogan, it seems like we have a different marketing campaign ever year. We're being ripped off by some ad agency. I get that the university is not run by business professionals, but maybe take a night class at Pamplin or something. This is not an efficient way to communicate with customers. Focus.

With the precipitous decline in special teams performance, Frank should not worry about micromanaging the offense but try and fix "his" special teams

They are also "4 or 5" plays away from losing to GT and being 3-6 right now

Frank's "Four or five plays" comment is becoming just a sad joke now. What about the other side of that? Miami could be saying "We were four or five plays away from a shut out."

Heck, take out one play - LT's 70+ yard run, and you could probably say goodbye to half of our points for the same.

That reminds me of another troubling thing about the Time of Possession stat. 34 mins to 24 mins. How long did VT's lone TD take up out of our 34 mins? 10seconds? We came close to have a 10 minute TOP disparity and scoring only two FG's.
