The picture of KJ, and the Tyrod one to a lesser extent, show how good these can look, because they use the darker maroon. Our modern jerseys seem lighter in color, so if we want true #ALLMAROONEVERYTHING, it needs to be maroon. Dark maroon. Like KJ-coulda-just-stabbed-some-motherfucker-and-there's-bloodstains-but-you-can't-tell dark. Bring em back.

the problem I have with ecu is that we have nothing to gain by playing them. i know every team needs these kind of games but id like to play someone else. they will be pumped to play us and we just look at them as another midlevel team on the schedule and then 2008 could happen all over again.

Tough spot for VT - with a three game OOC, you can take a cupcake, a midmajor ECU type team, and then a legit BCS league team. With four, what do you add? I'd rather add a meaningful BCS team, even if that means taking a loss some years. At least you lose to someone in the top 25, vs. ECU, who has proven they can beat us. That said, games in Greenville are awesome and if we were going the midmajor route with that fourth OOC, at least play someone regional and continuously to develop a "rivalry". ECU fans are fun, and its an easy drive. Not GREAT news, but better than a rotating MAC opponent. And hey! No neutral site games for us to lose!

The one thing that pissed me off more than anything during those Clemson games last year was our reluctance to go deep. Clemson brought the house leaving one-on-one on the outside and I only remember us taking a shot twice. One ended up in a completion and the other in a defensive PI. Take your shots to Knowles and Davis, they'll stop bringing the blitz and that'll get Coleman going.
Actually I was impressed that he gave it a good effort to run down field and block. Love when everyone is putting forth max effort! (He did face plant though...)
I'm an HT, and we've picked up a lot of your stuff from MV friends and brothers. I've taught people the lyrics to We Will Rock You, the (enter number here) is gonna die chant, Dirty Old Hokie, and we're trying to bring back Three Blind Mice and Stick It In, though we aren't as loud as y'all so it won't be the same. I know for a fact the reason Bowling Green missed a field goal was because the trumpets were doing block that kick with shiny objects in the sunlight. We also have a cadence called Bitchslap that we do after interceptions and fumble recoveries that y'all might wanna steal as a replacement for Stick It In. Same sexual motions and making fun of the other team, but it hasn't been banned. And you're right, it starts with our organizations. What we oughtta do is develop something new together, institute it in our respective endzones, and spread it like wildfire so we can very quickly get people to have fun and be engaged in the game again. Then, and only then, will we see Lane return to true Terror Dome form.
