To let the freshmen develop, try and turn things around with some experience given that Green is returning, and so long as ticket sales don't decline, apathy among the fan base doesn't get worse, and give it another shot at the tournament, then he gets another year. If he has another terrible year, we look to buy him out of his contract. (I'm not sure what his contract says, but many have a buyout clause).

If he does well, then he better be making NCAAs and the team performing consistently at the end of his contract. If not, we look for other candidates. Just because we're "better than we were than when we were in the Big East", doesn't mean we're where we should be. He's got talent, and young players can still play. The "young team" excuse can only go so far. You can't laud him for his recruiting and then defend him for needing 3 years to develop such talented recruits. It can be done, other coaches have done it in less time with less talent. And without a multi-million dollar facility being built in a profitable AD. And for anyone to think a coach wouldn't take a job with VT.... find me an up-and-coming coach that wouldn't want to coach at an ACC school. I think that's just ridiculous that people think that.

I honestly think Weaver leaves it to the next AD to make the choice. He's out VERY soon, IMO, and that, barring a complete disaster next season, Seth finishes out his contract.

If I were Seth, I'd look into bringing in a new assistant that can get something on our offense going, or work hard on finding a presence in the post.

I created a second entry for him in the database I used to store all the targets in. I truly appreciate the help, you guys keeping me honest and helping out with the updates!

I only noticed because I was scoping OL targets... Looks like Donta Wilkins is listed twice, and it shows we have offered on one of the entries, and that we haven't on the other. Not important, but I wanted to point it out to the fine editors of the best Hokie blog out there.

Gotta love Painters war yells on the front squat video

1) If Logan improves on the 3,000 yard 19 TD season he had in 2011 the buzz and hype both from college and NFL guys will swell. At that point, even if another year of college would refine his game, the NFL is looking to draft him in the '13 first round because of his size, athleticism and arm strength. I think he's going to have a tough decision to make at the end of the year.

2) It was mentioned here a lot during the season, but Logan is much farther along in his development than Tyrod.

"Toward the end of the year we did an awful lot of that, where we may have had a three-way package of plays and based on what they do front and coverage will depend on whether we run the football or whether we throw it. Depending on what they do coverage-wise is how do we throw it. In terms of we'll give him a protection and he'll put a route on it. So we gave him quite a bit of that toward the end of the season. And when I say end, probably half of the season. And he handled it tremendously well. So you see yourselves doing more of that, giving him more of those options, which now allows you to match up those plays better. It's not just one play down and trying to hit it right against the defense. You're kind of paring things down. You get two running plays and a pass protection. You don't want to run any of those pass protections or any of those run plays into a blitz. So now you give him a pass to get you out of that."

Compare that responsibility to the coaches cutting the field in half and asking Tyrod to only read one side.

Next year is going to be fun.

However, if you took a sample of any Tech gear on the market youd see a spectrum from burgundy to maroon. Not officially licensed stuff, but a lot of fans wear the shit they can find for cheap. Nonetheless, if we did do maroon effect for FSU the colors would blend together from a distance.

Why wouldn't they have the maroon effect game against Florida State? #ALLMAROONEVERYTHING would be ideal for that game....
