Thanks for the update! I'm going to update the board for Monday.

Considering he just enrolled, those numbers are a result of the training he did in high school. He hasn't even begun Gentrification yet. For a comparison, in March 2010 David Wilson put up 435 on front squat after a year in the strength program. Coleman has a high ceiling.

I was just checking the specs on the end line rotary.. .I'm retarded.

He did front squat 410 in November and Power Clean 326. Those are no small feats with those power leg lifts.

Also, Barfield is a walk-on that seems to be a bit of a workout hero. It would be nice to see if he can translate the weightroom work on the field before he finishes his time at VT.

I think we'll have a good defense, but I'm not ready to attribute "no worry" status. There are several things to be concerned about, especially in the secondary. And let's not forget how much we rely on our secondary. Need some young guys to step up quickly. And we need to avoid injuries at certain positions.

JCC tweeted that he benched 310 lbs and front squatted 365 lbs fyi.

Thou hast intrigued me. I want to see this juggernaut on the field ASAP. This also confirmed my suspicions that Acree is 99% upper body. That would explain a lot of his struggles. Also, a corner squatting 400 is ridonk.

Why oh why can't some common sense comes with that talent? /sigh

results makes me want an OL coach who can teach solid technique. Good lord some of these numbers are ridiculous.

Danny Coale was the 2nd fastest player on the team in terms of straight line speed. In my opinion, his inability to convert that Nebraska catch to a TD is probably why people don't think he's fast.

Touchback on kickoff rule seems really dumb. They moved the kick five yards closer to the end zone... and made a touchback 5 yards better for the offense. I'm guessing they didn't feel that moving the kick five yards closer was not good enough to encourage more touchbacks. It seems to me kickers should practice kicking as high as possible and letting the ball reach the goal line. When the returners receives the kick, the opposition should be at least 5 yards closer to tackling him, if not more due to increased hang time. That might be worth the risk if the kicking team can consistently tackle the returner around the 15 yard line rather than conceding possession to the offense at the 25.

Dion Caputi of National Football Post is impressed with him.

I hope this pushes him into the first round. The Giants at 32 might pick a corner if they don't resign Ross.

Maybe it's because my first Hokie "game" was the lightning game when we opened with GT, or maybe its the fact that the first game I won't be at will be the Miami game, but I have a very good feeling about this team. The defense has the makings of one of Bud's best and I honestly believe just that combined with LT and at least decent OL play is enough to get us back to the ACCCG. If one of the running backs steps up and takes control then this season really has a chance to turn into something great, the schedule shouldn't keep us out of the NCG discussion and if we give GT a beating on Monday night with the nation watching it will kickstart the campaign perfectly.

All that after we heard all last summer DW would be utilized more in the passing game. Kinda like we heard 2 summers ago about how they had all these packages and plays to get Oglesby the ball more at FB.

I was expecting at least 4.40 as well but Wilson definitely didn't looking happy both times after he ran, so maybe he was just having an off day. Good thing he's still got the Pro Day to impress even more.

but the one thing I didn't say you captured here...serious wtf out to our offensive staff. Wilson's routes being the surprise of the day pisses me off almost as much as Eddie Royal having his best game to date in his NFL freakin debut.
