I have no problem with flair, I just wish they'd put orange stripes up the sides? I don't know, something different. I don't like the thick white-orange combo across the shoulders we've had for a few seasons now..it looks kinda throwback. *shrugs*

I'd like to get 3 of the 4. I think Caleb can step in and start at rover next year. He is the lynchpin. I watched Ekman play against Hayfield, and he is a perfect fit in size and speed for how the Hokie DE's are coached to play. I still think he is bigger than his listed size.
Jones seems destined to be a WR or corner. Given his size (under 6 foot), playing corner at VT would be attractive as prep for an NFL career. He would also give them a playmaker in the kick return game. Kirrven is a nice to have... very good player but the Hokies are deep at DT for a long time.

if i recall correctly 07 vs Miami and FSU at home we wore them...the 05 games against Miami (which we don't want to remember) was also all maroon if I remember correctly.
Every game should be a maroon effect.

I have always loved the maroon on maroon unis, always will too. I also dont mind the orange pants w maroon top. I really was hoping when the Nike pros were doing our unis that they would do our maroon on maroons, but i was wrong. That would be sick, Nike pro combat all maroon! The greatest is all time 03 Miami game, those unis were the best, wish they would bring em back.
Per NCAA stats VT has 11th toughest schedule based on cumulative oppostion, 17th on past oppostiion. MI is 13th on cummulative and 22 on past. Combined records of opposition VT 80-54, MI 80-55.
So much for the weak schedule argument.

Michigan was using a running back by committee approach for the first half of the season (as mentioned in paragraph two). Looking for "The guy" out of a stable with a lot of potential. Toussaint didn't become that guy until mid season. He didn't break 14 carries in a game until the end of Oct with game 7. He put up 645 of his 1011 in the last five games... Which included 2 of the top 3 defenses we played all year.
Wilson averaged .3 more yards per carry against weaker opposition. Although, Wilson does have a clear advantage as a threat in the pass game.

Yeah. I remember DE running train all over Maryland that night and the epic firework show. I know we haven't worn then since then. I'd say we are overdue for the all Maroon.

Nothing screams "I am a Man, back the fuck down!" like Maroon. I can believe Lester would let this happen. Not just for this game, but by ordering Orange pants over Maroon at the beginning of the year. This might just be one of the worst uniform years ever.

On a previous Hokie Hotline Lester mentioned VT doesn't even have maroon pants this year. Unless they buy them specifically for this game they won't be wearing them, which is very unfortunate.
Anytime your football team is called a "fraud program" by someone like Tony Cornheiser you MUST pack the all maroon uniforms and the lunch pail and go to work and make that DICK along with Herbstreit and Turner Gill and everyone else who had nothing but negative things to say about VPI eat their words. Frank says he has nothing to apologize for but he DOES have alot to prove to just about every analyst on ESPN's payroll. Time to go to work, this is a program defining game. If our boys can't get up for this game.... Well then it is nut check time!!!!
