Maybe because they had a child molestor using their facilities, it was reported to the hall-of-fame coach, who did as little as absolutely possible with that, and none of the alumni fan base had any problem with him doing next to nothing.
Lol well if you're going to skim over every comment I make and say to yourself "well this can't be true because it's part of his narrative". Then that defeats the purpose of a conversation, and it's something you're choosing to do, for whatever reason. I can't help you on that. I can treat you the same though when you share your own opinion.
It seems like some of y'all are actually offended that I have a different perspective and won't just get on board to spin every single thing the new staff does as a positive. Sorry but that's just plain soft
It was a catch
Take care of yourself French! I'm dealing with the same from... going to work I guess? It's kicked my ass so hope you are fairing better!!!
I know I was giving it a different meaning.

Thanks French. Feel better!
not up to me, but I'd allow it
Whats a TLDR of the pod?
One aspect of that budget that will be interesting to monitor is how well does PSU recruit? Campbell has never been a good recruiter (rankings generally in the 50s). Maybe that's due to an "inherent ceiling" at ISU, but more than likely its that he isn't a great recruiter. At a minimum, he lacks experience recruiting at the highest level. If Campbell is not good at recruiting, does PSU's recruiting and NIL budget get wasted?
I know a lot of coaches want their own GM and be in control of player personnel, but coaches like Campbell are probably better off "outsourcing" that role to the best GM/recruiting staff that PSU can hire. Make recruiting an institutional process that works with the coaching staff, and not the traditional paradigm in which the recruiting process is ultimately controlled by the HC. Does PSU go this route? Their AD seems to want to have a hand in player recruitment (as indicated by the leaked audio).
Ultimately, recruiting is a combination of money, relationships, institutional support and facilities, and scheme fit, with the emphasis heaviest on money and relationships with coaches. Can a place like PSU rely on compensation and institutional factors to make up for deficiencies in relationship development?
(Side Bar Thoughts: Campbell has no relationships with the Mid-Atlantic coaching staff. It's looking like UM is about to take a hit recruiting wise, especially within the Mid-Atlantic where they haven't traditionally recruited hard but obviously did really well in 2025. Deboer hasn't really been recruiting within the Mid-Atlantic. Belichick is hurting UNC recruiting. Clemson and Dabo are losing their momentum. All of these factors result in a Mid-Atlantic recruiting vacuum right now. VT, S. Car., and UGA, should greatly benefit. VT was right to hire the best Mid-Atlantic recruiter.)
Especially when it doesn't fit your narrative.
Manny Diaz spent 17 days as Temples head coach before Miami hired him to be their head coach.
Moore is expected to be arraigned tomorrow afternoon per ESPN. I saw the headline on WaPo first, but don't have access to behind the paywall for the full story.
At VT, the defenses weren't successful, but that was because he didn't hire good coordinators and coaches, not because he was a bad DC
I don't think you can say this for certain
If getting Templed in this case means following the trajectory of Temple football, I'm all for it
Ah, I got you.

I guess it's to be expected when we have the same discussion happening on two threads...this thread relates to the autobid MOU, the other is about ND's tantrum.
In my official capacity, I declare this to be the appropriate placement of this tweet.

This is the correct way to handle Notre Dame's entitled asses

It all boiled over when he was arrested.
I was responding specifically to this. I'd argue it boiled over when he was fired
Frank's integrity and promise to Vick's HS coach kept us from seeing him on the field his freshman year. I've wondered how that would have played out. It was fun to watch him, and I was able to do so, from his first spring game to the Sugar Bowl and the ending. It was a privilege to have had him as a Hokie. I had thought that Bruce Smith was my all time Hokie football player, but Michael took the cake, for sure. Close, though.
I think it's more likely (but still a miniscule chance) that Michigan gets DeBoer, Bama hires Lane, and LSU has to scramble, but I don't see them going for Matt Campbell, nor do I see him Diaz-ing someone.
I took it to mean that the investigation into the inappropriate relationship with a staffer has ongoing for a while, and is a poor secret. Once he was fired, he crashed out and was arrested, but that doesn't change the fact that it was known that he was under investigation for a while, and that investigation just *happened* to conclude after signing day.
he was arrested AFTER he was fired though....

Best case, Deboer to Mich, Kiff to Bama, Ole Miss wins natty, LSU still has to pay Kiff 1mil bonus. lol
