Until thing are further known, I will give Michigan the benefit of doubt, while they may have known what happen (probably knew some of it) they had to conduct an investigation and do their due diligence before firing some one for cause, especially when the money amount is big enough to fight for with top notch lawyers.

Also, about the 'valie' ND brings to the ACC....

No way. It's not like Michigan and their football program would ever do anything shady. Or that they would keep a coach around who was doing improper things just so that they could win football games. Oh no, never.

Personal note, Beau went to York Central (my wife's HS) and we are friends with the basketball coach he played for. I think he played 4 sports. When home over Christmas we go watch the team and saw Beau in a bball tournament. Later we ran into him at the local burger joint and I might have bought he and his girlfriend's dinner.

He's a hell of a kid. Unfortunately he may have been holding out for a better NIL offer.

Edit: for accuracy, looking back my records are sketchy! It appears Beau is entering the portal.

The only really glaring number on the box score though is unfortunately Carleigh shooting the ball.

Four other starters: 16 for 27
Carleigh: 2 for 11 in only 18 minutes. 1 for 7 inside the perimeter.

Only two players on our bench shot less than 50%. Unfortunately one of those was Petersen. 1 for 3 in 14 minutes. Swanson shot 2 for 8.

Swanson/Petersen/Wenzel: 5 for 22
Rest of the Team:
16 for 27 Starters
17 for 24 Bench

Three players missed 17 shots
Nine players missed 18 shots

Updated press release from the Pittsfield PD. "Alleged assault". I only use the quotations as it's from the report and is verbatim for those that might not be able to see the tweeters.

I'd be careful with Pate. He puts out a lot of stuff vaguely and then claims credit if it happens. With this specifically, I do remember him saying keep an eye on Michigan but he framed it as if Moore went 7-5 and lost to Ohio State, not that there was something else going on. He threw Lincoln Riley and Brian Kelly out there was well, a miss and a hit but it was vague enough that no one remembers the miss but he can claim the hit

Looks like the transition from NLI may happen after this year. This article from ESPN still refers to NLI but also discusses transition away from NLI, but doesn't give a timeframe for it. Regardless, it says that for players who signed during ESD are granted their release without penalty if the coach leaves after ESD (bottom of 4th paragraph about being able to commit/decommit after national signing day).

Oooooh boy if this is true.....

It's starting to sound like his imminent firing was known for a while but they waited til after Signing Day to not ruin their class. Which, I mean starts to echo what happened at Penn St with he coverup to purely benefit the football program.

Regardless of committing to the school, it is VERY late in the recruiting window. Kids may want to jump ship if they don't know who the coach would be. It's one thing if you like the school and get to meet with a new coach, it's another to walk blindly into whatever the new coaching situation might be and forfeit your ability to find a place you'd rather be.

I searched on it and it said the rule changed I think in 2024, that allows them to get out of it. I'll do some more research, but I had looked it up before I posted.
