All Hokies Interviews VT Scoop247
Not sure if everyone/many people know but VTScoop247 is a youtube page that is 100% Hokies Coverage for the football team. There are always interviews from players/coaches after practice and games. I find it a great place to check every couple days to see if there is something that is missed on this website...not that there is much..
Here is the link and I hope everyone enjoys! VTSCOOP247
Bitter blog - Some changes to the depth chart: Leal and Brewer co-No. 1 at QB
BeamerBall.com Updates Its Depth Chart
The major takeaways are:
- Mark Leal and Michael Brewer are listed as co-No. 1's at quarterback.
- The top 3 running backs are co-No. 1's Trey Edmunds and J.C. Coleman with Shai McKenzie the second stringer ahead of McMillian and Caleb.
- Alston Smith is ahead of Wyatt Teller at left guard.
- Field goal kickers in order are: Slye, Kristensen, and Wise.

Best Rookie QB so far is......Logan Thomas
Ron Jaworski was just on SportsCenter and was asked who the best rookie quarterback of the preseason was so far and he named everybody's favorite TE, Logan Thomas. He gave him an incredibly positive review, even going as far as saying he looked like definite All-Pro material in the future. Nice to finally hear that other people are beginning to see what most of us already have.
Jaws on LT3
Not sure if anyone else saw this and I have no clips, but Jaws was just talking about rookie QBs on ESPN and said Logan looked better than any of the rest. Even said "looked like a future all-pro."

If Woody Baron is unable to play and redshirts due to his offseason right ankle surgery, then Tech will most likely end up playing a true freshman DT in its two-deep.

#Hokies giving freshman Melvin Keihn a look at DE instead of ILB because of a lack of depth on the line, per Beamer's site.— Andy Bitter (@AndyBitterVT) August 12, 2014

Hi everyone, I'll be photographing football games for The Key Play this season, check them out at http://photos.thekeyplay.com throughout the season!
To start off, this past weekend I attended the Football Media Day at Lane Stadium, where DBU decided to break up the interviews with a dance off and a rap battle: http://photos.thekeyplay.com/Football-Media-Day-2014/
Hokie Club Picnic: Whit Gets It
Yesterday, I decided to finish off my summer properly and go check out the Hokie Club's welcome back picnic. I was not disappointed, even with the rain keeping us off the field. First off, a tip of the hat to Outback, as the food was pretty darn good. The rest of the event was very well set up. There was a little ticket/parking pass raffle and a silent auction with some nice goodies. The main event, of course, was a little talk from some athletic department staff and coaches, including an introduction of all the freshmen and newcomers, followed by an autograph session. Here's what I picked up from my time in Lane.

Despite the optimism in VTs camp, the Hokies seem to have many doubters.
