His rolling two-year contract is also currently gone unless he meets "designated performance objectives." Those objectives require that Iowa averages 25 points per game and that the Hawkeyes win at least seven games next season. That wins number includes a possible bowl game
They only scored 24 against Utah State. This is going to be fun to watch this season.
At some point, maybe the other ACC presidents will stop listening to Notre Dame, but until then, the Irish will continue to play the ACC for a sucker. https://l.smartnews.com/p-t4P39/SGXKsX
While the film review is in final editing approval, here is a quick look ahead at Purdue
1) Dangerous playmakers on the outside. Deion Burks is a big time receiver. He will test the long speed of Mansoor Delane and Dorian Strong. Both Delane and Strong got beaten deep on fake screen and go routes against ODU, but Grant Wilson couldn't make the connection. They will need a big time day against Burks.

Like most other Hokie fans there are mixed emotions when it comes to looking at the ODU win. On one hand, we won and that is a helluva lot better than last season, so in that sense we've seen some progress. On the other hand, how are we at a place where we are celebrating a relatively "boring" win against ODU?? In any event, Saturday evening was a HUGE win for the VT football program - All day ACCN coverage, and some of the best I've seen to be honest. Sold out, LIT crowd. And a win to cap it off! Below are a few observations, please feel free to add...
Ryan walters thinks Purdue is the premier college in Indiana.
Ryan Walters lost to Fresno state.
Ryan Walters thinks it's ok that Purdue basketball was a #1 over all seed that lost to a #16 seed because trends say they are going to win the national championship next year.
Ryan Walters coaches at Purdue where losing in football doesn't mean anything because it's not related to basketball
Saturday is almost here,
The wait is over,
The butterflies and anxiousness is at an apex,
I'm hopeful at a better year than last,
With that being said, what are your score predictions for this first game?
I say 31-14 VT, what say you?
This article popped in my feed today about where schools land as far as booster giving. As everyone should expect, all of the SEC is in the top 40. Who's currently in the top ten is interesting. the TLDR: boosters are important, but it doesn't equal success. VT is 34th.
Couldn't figure out where else to put this, but Instagram has been serving me up some college football merch, thought some of you might like this for your home/tailgate setup:
The season kicked off a bit predictably as Notre Dame obliterated Navy in the early game from Ireland.
Nothing as compelling filling up the PM, but at least the games are close for the most part. (I almost wrote "watchable", but I can't find the USC game on YouTube TV with their sports upgrade package).
Jason Brown, who got beat out for our QB1 by Grant Wells last season is absolutely going off in the Jackson State/ SC State game.
Thought I'd start a thread just to get in the practice of it.
