EDIT: When I first posted this I didn't realize the Rock and "The People's Champ" association. Because of this, I didn't realize it was a joke. Please disregard this post...
Is this really necessary?
Heard we got a qb named Dwayne Johnson? Hasnt touched the field yet and hes already the peoples champ. What r the other new #hokies names...— Willie Byrn (@byrnaftreadin) February 5, 2015

One Recruit Perceptions : Last Season
I was looking over some of the recruiting info on 247sports since it's signing day, and one thing caught my eye about an offer we extended to a 2016 recruit, Emmanuel Belmar. It was this quote concerning being offered by VT:
"It feels pretty good," Belmar told 247Sports. "My dad spoke to them and they talked to my coach."
What does the 6-foot 2-inch prospect think of the Hokies?
"It's a very good school and they beat the national champions," he said.
Now I know there has been plenty of back and fourth about this past season, but it's amazing what beating OSU has done for some of the perceptions.
Thought I would share.

Signing day is coming!
Signing day for football is Wed, Feb 4th. We have 23 verbal commits. Will we lose any of these guys? Also, do you think there is anyone that might flip to us? Always an exciting time to be a Hokie!
Zohn Burden Hired

Looks like we have the new WR coach. Zohn Burden.
Dwayne Lawson makes a top-5 offense a stated goal for VT
There is some serious bravado in the incoming recruiting class. Add to that this quote from Cane-turned-Hokie, 4-star quarterback Dwayne Lawson.
We already have some great defensive players, and I am ready to get us going on offense and have a top five offense in the country, that's the goal."
VT hasn't fielded a top 5 offense in either total or scoring O since the Michael Vick years. If Lawson accomplishes his goal, he will undoubtedly go down as one of the greatest QBs in Hokie history. Regardless of how Lawson's career goes at Tech, it's a good sign that recruits on the offensive side of the ball are coming in with high expectations and something to prove.

Which Redshirt or True freshman do you most look forward to seeing in action next year?
Looking at all of the returning talent on defense I am excited about what the season holds, and I am equally as excited to see which redshirt and true freshman are ready to step in and lend a hand.
I feel like our D-line with all the starters returning will be a force to be reckoned with, and I also feel like our depth with the likes of Williams, Walker, and Baron will be solid. That being said I am quite curious to see what Vinny Mihota and Tim Settle bring to the tackle position.
WR coach still for hire - good or bad?
I suppose the answer to my thread question is that no one really knows, but screw that. Do you think is it a good or bad sign that we don't have answers yet? Who would you most like to see and why?
I want someone who can coach the position and recruit ANY position.
