The good news being that our OL is so depleted that our HC and OL had to repeatedly hound a guy in his mid-20s who had already retired from college football to agree to come back for one more year?

If that is truly what he wants to be doing, then I am happy for him, hope he makes the most out of his 7th year, and I'll be rooting for him

To be fair, he is about to be drafted into the NFL, and start making bank playing a kids game that he loves...he's had a lotta hardships for sure, but that is a pretty decent break that he is about to catch

These last few seasons really makes me feel like we missed our shot. I think those 1998-2011 years were actually the years that we could've made the jump to a true challenger. Instead we started the slump to middling ACC team that will now need to strive for years just to get back to being consistently ranked again.

Agreed. Different sport, but we already saw a basketball HOFer retire cause of it...one more down year, and a handful of transfers and I'll bet Coach K walks away too

And if Fuente runs out of QBs this year, it'll be a valid reason for bad record, but it will also be on him for allowing the QB room to be so depleted, so the firing will be justified, IMO
