thrown a CG S/O on fewer than 100 pitches
I read this in confusion far too many times before scrolling down to see the translation
Along with multiple Bama or Clemson players being sent to the hospital

I didn't think it was the coaches choice.
Classic

two defensive TDs.
Also of note, we didn't have a single completed pass until 2.5 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.
Regarding why the Temple game is on there:
Not that I need to tell you, but Temple was 0-26 in Big East road games, had lost 26 straight to ranked opponents and was a 35.5-point underdog against a VT team that was 5-0 and ranked 14th (and crushed Bama in a bowl game). Totally different level of upset than ODU last year.โ Andy Bitter (@AndyBitterVT) August 12, 2019
Beg to come back?
Curious, because I honestly don't know. Since being in the transfer portal does not mean that the player has transferred, does a player on a team continue with team functions while in the portal or are they effectively not on the team once they enter their name into the portal? Is the first team obliged to welcome them back if they withdraw from the portal or can the team tell them to pound sand?
Came here to post 2003 vs #2 Miami. Then looked at the team stats
First Downs:
Miami- 21
VT- 11
Total Yards:
Miami- 377
VT- 219
fumbles-Lost:
Miami: 7-1
VT: 1-1
Turnovers:
Miami- 4
VT- 2
We forced 6 punts, they forced 8 on us.
Looking at those numbers, the 31-7 final score is a little surprising.
I'm in
rotester at vt dot edu
I wouldn't necessarily say that Bryant won him 4 games earlier in the year
Vs. Furman; 48-7
Bryant - 11/17, 132 yds, 1 TD; 5 carries for 44 yds, 1 TD
Lawrence - 9/14, 137 yds 3 TDs
vs. a&m; 28-26
Bryant - 12/17, 205 yds, 1 TD ; 15 carries for 54yds, 1 TD
Lawrence - 5/9, 93 yds, 1 TD
vs. Georgia Southern; 38-7
Bryant- 7/10, 68yds, 0 TD; 1 INT; 6 carries for 27 yards
Lawrence- 12/19, 194yds 1 TD, 1 INT
vs GT; 49-21
Bryant- 6/10, 56 yds, 0TD; 4 carries for 5 yards
Lawrence- 13/18, 176 yds; 4 TDs, 1 INT
An argument could be made that Bryant won 1 game for Clemson last year. Then was no longer on the team after that, by his choice.
Say you quit your job; 6 months later the company takes off, is worth 500x what it was when you left. Everyone is getting raises, better benefits, access to Robert Kraft's most recommended day spas, new cars, , etc....are you entitled to any of that?
Nope.
My speculation concurs with your speculation.
Yeah, I agree...I was just posting that the fact that he retweeted it lends more to the assumption that he is transferring because he got passed on the depth chart vs. "a strength coach disrespected him" like his mom is blasting out (her tweet is now deleted)
If that's the case, I wish him nothing but luck. These guys wanting to have a football career only have 4 years to showcase their talent. Can't do that sitting on the bench, BUT, if that is the case maybe try to get those close to you to not start bashing the program.
Ellis retweeted this thread from Brenden Hill:
Nobody transfers over competiton. Depth charts and competiton are two different things. Depth charts the coach controls. Competing the player controls. I don't think you'll find many athletes who are afraid of competiton.โ Beta Mode (@BrendenHill) August 10, 2019
It's not about the coaches. But it's not about him not competing either. People sound crazy. Just say he wasn't going to have a chance to play. Don't say he didn't compete.โ Beta Mode (@BrendenHill) August 11, 2019
Somebody gets it ๐โ DeJuan Ellis (@DeJuanEllisll) August 11, 2019
If I'm not mistaken, Clarke didn't have the option of staying
I was going to be severely disappointed if no one had posted this yet
I get that, but this dude isn't just skipping out on college. He's dropping out of high school.

Seems like they were more critical of us than anyone else in the conference. Fuck it. Let's win the
coastalconference.
What I do in my own time is my business!

Now, I know he is currently an OC in the SEC, but hear me out... let's not forget he did start his coaching career a the secondary coach for a year, and then DC for a year at the powerhouse Salem College (now Salem University) in WV

Interesting move, MD putting Savoy on the other side of the ball
Former #Hokies WR Sean Savoy moving to DB with Maryland. Quite an odd move/decision by Maryland for a productive P5 receiver https://t.co/pNgOnpUF4Hโ The Tech Lunch Pail (@techlunchpaild) August 2, 2019
edit: nevermind, he was moved back to WR
Sean Savoy, who transferred to Maryland from Virginia Tech, has been moved back to wide receiver after playing in the secondary in the spring. Tahj Capehart, who started as a wideout and missed last season with a knee injury, has been moved to defensive back.โ Don Markus (@sportsprof56) August 2, 2019
