I think the dead period ends Jan 1, so we should start having more recruiting action then, and I would hope something announced on our DC/defensive to coincide with the dead period ending.

The only difference between Shedeur and Manziel is that we haven't seen a documentary where Shedeur never attended a class at CU... we might... but for now apparently he has seen the inside of an academic building perhaps. They are the same- the bad mechanics, the plays that won't be there in the NFL, the medicore size and arm. I'm guessing Shedeur is not a total druggie punk... but I don't see a long/great NFL career for him. Not big enough, bad mechanics, not a great arm.
Add- giving ND a great home for their olympic sports, a more predictable schedule with ACC games of their choice and location of course in exchange for....... drumroll....... not a fucking thing.
Not stunning at all- If he had one team/winning bone in his body, he would have stayed and built Incarnate Word into a champion at that level. OR he would have stayed at Washington State and won there. This is the least surprising thing bowl season in 2024. A mercenary- by definition- that only cares about himself and his money quitting on is team in a winnable bowl game is actually the most predictable thing on earth now. Expect more of the same. Cam Ward cares about his bag- period. He doesn't give a shit about Miami, Wazzou, etc, doesn't give a shit about his teammates. And I wouldn't either if everyone made excuses for me too- "he could get hurt" "the game didn't mean anything" etc. Like I said... the fans- a vast portion of them wanted college football to be a total shit show with no rules and NFL salaries. That is the sad thing.

My guess is that we'll see a couple more guys sign in the next 6 months or so, then in the spring portal window, we'll see a couple more guys leave.

I think we'll see a few more of the walk on players move on without a social media announcement and won't know the exact breakdown until hokiesports is updated. Also, as I understand it the roster limit doesn't kick in until July, so we might run a little over 105 until after Spring ball.

If 6'2" 222lbs is accurate, and legends of his speed aren't over exaggerated, I dont know what we got. But I can imagine it would be like tackling a python in a tornado while riding a bronco. Fingers crossed.
Considering the totals show that we have 105 currently, and I think everyone is hoping we'll pick up 1-2 more OL (Altuner and maybe one other guy) and maybe a couple other players from the portal (LB perhaps?) once the DC is announced, how do we think the roster may adjust to let that happen?
