What was shady about the drawing?
The muffed punt was a strange play. It wasn't totally on Stohman. The punt was going to hit our flanker in the back, so he had to go and try to get that ball. The football gods were not with us last night.

# | Ask TKP: What's your one positive and negative takeaway from Battle at Bristol? Just watched it and I'm correct here. The WR had his arms all around Stroman in a hug and there was no way Stroman could jump.
I saw it live from the opposite and angle and I can attest, his other arm was on him at about shoulder level.
I think we took advantage of what we could get versus a fairly good front seven. Plus, with the shuffling and penalties on O-line, we did a decent job. We did need points, and I think we would have scored if not for turning the ball over.
He did scream at him. Problem is that 157000 fans are louder.
I pencil every game in as a W until I have to break out the eraser and correct myself.

# | Ask TKP: What's your one positive and negative takeaway from Battle at Bristol? Agree with all the positives. Best thing being that this looks like an actual offense and not just a side of the ball that gives the defense a rest for a couple plays.
Biggest con is the enthusiasm or lack-there of After the first fumble you could see the team deflate. There didn't seem to be any leader to get the team together and back on track. They seemed to play without real emotion the rest of the night and it just went down hill from there. Hopefully seniors grab that leadership role back this week and ensure a good week of practice. We saw Sam and others mention that they had a bad week of practice.

Negative: After the fumble score, it seemed like the offense went into a shell for a quarter and a half, reminiscent of the last 4 years. This team did not look like it had the maturity and/or guts to handle adversity.

Pardon me, but I have 23 years experience living in Nashville, so I know what I'm talking about. The perception issue I'm referring to is an SEC territory issue/comment. It's not just UT. Nashville is the SEC "melting pot", not just UT and Vandy fans.
Your experience may differ, and that's great.

That sweet jump pass to the Hulk was a thing of beauty while we were in rhythm. I look forward to the team being able to get their rhythm back after losing it.
Negative - hold on to the damn ball. We handed UT the game and momentum over and over. If that doesn't stop this year we won't win many more games.

Negative: The punting is inconsistent at best and awful at times.
C'mon, French. Here I was penciling in BC as a W and looking forward to our first ACC victory of the year. I already have to watch the game at a tiny bar in Sandbridge, but now I have to worry about having to walk home?

Negative
Skye is the kicker not the punter.
Although his FGs of late have been off. He used to be pretty automatic.
Adding my experience here.
This felt like a Tennessee home game. Every tv timeout it seemed the UT band was playing. They played at least 5 minutes each time, most of which was Rocky Top, of course. They never alternated the bands between breaks.
My biggest peeve was the lack of entrance. While at Gameday, it was announced that Tennessee could not run through their "T" because of "logistical issues." Had some conversations about it, no big deal. Until the game. We didn't get our Enter Sandman. I'm assuming (yeah) that crybaby UT and biased BMS wouldn't let us have ours due to them not having theirs. BMS even promised and promoted that both schools would have their entrances.
UT got school colored fireworks after their scores, which is ok, IF you are at home, NOT a "neutral" game.
At times the PA announcer seemed biased also. At times he would put more emphasis and/or loudness to key UT moments or calls.
I'm biased against UT, but these things really made it look and feel like a UT home game at BMS. End rant.

Positive: We have an offensive identity/scheme that can compete against 5 star talent. The future is the brightest it's been since 2007/8.
Negative: We have a long way to go. While I know that there would be growing pains, it's clear that there will be a lot of ups and downs over the next 1.5-2 seasons.
BONUS
Positive: I think my 8 win prediction was spot on
Negative: I just realized that our losses this season are going to be painful, probably much like this one.
