I'm still waiting for him to say how he's having the field painted.

# | Josh Jackson's "Really Good Camp" Propels Him Into Middle of Virginia Tech's QB Competition
3 QBs = 2 QBs + 1 QB
3 QBs = (none) + 1 QB
3 QBs = 1 QB
Quod erat demonstrandum (or, at least which is what Jackson has to prove).
with 9+1, we also play FSU and Clemson more often.
I'm OK either way. Maybe an 8+2, but lose the permanent BC connection?
It just depends which OOC games are cut. I prefer FSU/UVA to FSU/Citadel.
I wish the ACC would take over OOC scheduling from the schools. Take Duke's 4 cupcakes away.
My oldest boy started 1st grade and my daughter started pre-k this week. My youngest son just turned one. I look at them every morning and I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. There's so many things I want to teach them and do with them and I thought I would have all the time in the world. As much as I hated getting up and feeding a baby or arguing over who's going to change a diaper, it depresses the hell of me that I'll probably never have to worry about that again. I keep thinking the answer is to have 100 kids and never worry about them all growing up, but the truth is they all will and do. I listen to my oldest son talk and watch him play with his friends and his video games and I wonder what happened to the little boy that used to love to play peek-a-boo or draw with crayons.
I think it gets harder every year to watch them grow up, but it also gets more rewarding as you see them grow and take on personalities of their own. There's plenty of tough times but it's intertwined with the day to day moments that build relationships and families. Every day I tell myself I need to do more or try harder, but the truth is we do what we can and hope we've done enough. It's amazing how much I have changed as an individual in the last 6+ years after having kids. Enjoy every moment and always try to instill confidence and love. I gotta go throw away these damn onions....
I don't think Fuente is out there to protect peoples feelings. He is out there to win football games. If Jackson is in the mix, it is because he is practicing at a high enough level. This is a new system for all of the players so that helps level the playing field of inexperience. As long as we don't blow a redshirt for him to play a series against Liberty and then not play anymore this season, I will be happy with whatever the coaches decide.
Off topic but does Evans have a redshirt left? (If Motley won the job and doesn't get hurt through the course of the season)
And Viagra was also created to treat heart conditions. Stuff changes.
Counterpoint: the word "gift." (There's no way to win here when a letter has different sounds depending on context)
I personally love OOC games. Looking at the first weekend this year, I would hate to see FSU v UVA replace FSU v Ole Miss
The creator of the format says it's pronounced 'jif' I usually side with the inventors of products, services, etc on how to pronounce their creations.

Edit: Also, pronounce the following words: giraffe, giant, gypsy.
It should be its own FORUM link!!
8+2 for me. I like inter-conference P matchups.
if they go 9+1, then the teams that play ND and a P OOC rival in the same year are screwed, and that group includes most of our "football schools". Our best football schools want 8+2 and I think they'll get it. If UNC wants to play Wake as an OOC, fine. They are doing that now and I have no problem with it.
You forgot this: /s
9+1 doesn't limit teams to only 1 P5 OOC. Personally I like the 9+1 concept because it increases the chances we'll drop the Libertys, W&M's, etc from our schedules and cut back on ODU/ECU to make room for the extra conference game while keeping WVU, and the various B10 matchups for SoS and profile.
Not just win, but dom-a-fuckn-ate, like we used to.
yeah I originally listed everyone with MF thrown in their initials then decided to just do Williams. Proofreading is hard when you've got code interspersed in notepad...
Make Lane great again x 10
I'd love to see us return Lane to the hallowed place of lore. It's just not that *fill in adjective here* anymore.
Jeez. Running LOLUVa gags could be its own post.
Awww, look at them, still looking both ways before crossing the street
Minor correction:
RMFW=Ryan Wilson Williams
Otherwise, outstanding job.
I agree, the more interesting games the better for me (I'm a proponent for 10+2).
But looking at VT's future schedules, 9+1 is mostly going to diminish the interesting games somewhat, not improve them.
16: ND/UT 17:WVU/(clemson) 18: ND/(FSU) 19:ND/______20: PSU/Mich 21: Mich/WVU/ND (!!!) 22: WVU/_____ 23: Purdue/Rutgers/(FSU) 24: Wisky/Rutgers/(clemson) 25: PSU/Wisky
Whit has alluded to a "Preseason Bowl Game" for the future to fill one of those blanks.
To go to 9+1, you would lose the second game in all of that and fill it with Clem/FSU or someone not good/interesting. I guess if you model it without the crossover game, it's closer.
But if anything, I would propose a 9+2 with one cupcake warm up game.
When we root for folks for any other reason, this is usually what happens...

I don't think we can afFORD to get into this.
