I very highly doubt Bud would stand for that, and I very highly doubt Fuente is the kind of coach who would pull something like that. Everyone involved knows this can't work as an "us vs them" type of thing, it's all about getting people in place who are good at what they do and can work well together. If Scott helps Bud and Fuente work together better, then party on.
Lets just say that whole promotion/demotion stuff really didn't have much merit behind it.
Agreed
As an IT guy I see .bak quite often
Duane Brown also got injured today, I heard. Tough week to be a Hokie in the NFL. Tyrod had a good game, though.
If we're going to lose a position coach to a division rival, I prefer it to be when we're completely revamping our entire offense. No trade secrets revealed to the Third Richt.
I think he'd rather play in the playoffs.
Yeah, but college football was wiped out years ago, and everyone thinks it's just a myth now..
An underlying current in Supreme Chancellor Palpatine relaying the legend of Darth Plagueis the Wise, specifically the mention of being able to "influence the midi-chlorians to create life," was a veiled reference to the possibility that Palpatine had a hand in Anakin's conception, perhaps in trying to create the perfect apprentice to be his bulldog during the Jedi purge.
When you say conduit, that to me doesn't paint a favorable picture. I hope the D staff can find cohesion. I like the idea of having a position coach with DC experience...as long as he understands who the DC is.
Not only was it not NYE, but there was a women's game right after the men's game. They still had to be there to cover that was well. Although I don't know that Berman (who is usually the only media member the majority of the time) stays the whole game half the time anyway.
Therein lies the issue with having a coach like Buzz. No one moves a muscle without his permission, so no one was getting in the locker room and no one was leaving. There should have been someone to tell them what was going on, but all those people were in the locker room.
Yeap, in the heart of Atlanta. Any idea what antenna he got?
Next couple of years is fine. It looks to me like we have around 8 open spots for this year. Anyone know the exact number of spots we have left to use?
Kylo had me like...

I recently signed up for 3 months with SlingTV ($20/mo) and their offer was a new Roku 3 for $50 (normally $99). The Roku 3 has SlingTV as a native app, as well as Amazon/Prime, Netflix, and Hulu, and many more. Very happy so far. Beats the old AppleTV, except for lack of AirPlay video streaming from my iPad/MacBook/iPhone.
I used Sling this year, it is 20 dollars gets you about 30 channels and is only 5 dollars more for the sports package cancel anytime. It works well enough, has trouble at times with big games but usually switching to the watchespn app fixed it for me.
As a side note, McFadden also knocked out another DB later in the game. I'm sure it was just a coincidence, but it's interesting how offensive players lowering their heads is starting to get a little lime light.
Dang. Kid's been working hard for Washington this season. Hope he's okay.
Quick question to all of the people who call themselves cable cutters.
How do you have access to WatchESPN if you don't have cable?
Have always wanted to cut the cord, this thread might give me the push I needed.
Well fuck. That sucks. How long is he out?? I hope this doesn't affect him being retained next year.
they run a base 3-4, but I haven't spent any time watching their D because I don't think Bud will change his system fundamentals any. I think Scott is serving as a recruiter and as Fuente's conduit to the D.
Damn 52 channels you must be in a major metro area. Up here there is very little. I watch a lot of PBS. I did convince a friend down in Herndon VA to get an antenna and he said he gets crazy channels in crystal clear uncompressed HD OTA. He's real happy with it.

Whether it makes people uncomfortable or not, it's a perfectly acceptable, rational, and expected move by Fuente. He is, after all, the new guy on campus as well as the boss.
I'm sure Bud is comfortable enough in his own skin to deal with that reality, otherwise he wouldn't still be in Blacksburg. An added bonus is that Scott is probably a pretty talented coach who will eventually make Bud's life much easier. He's not just some plant by the new HC to put his stamp on the defense and assert authority.
