Uncertainty isn't a good thing, but it isn't a bad thing. It's an unknown. At this point, we don't know how our class will end up. We can create an infinite number of "what-ifs" regarding what will happen. What if Beamer announces his retirement at the end of the season? That will certainly affect our recruiting. Could be positive if we make a splash hire and then recruits want to jump aboard. Look at how Michigan ended after hiring Harbaugh last year. Or it could be bad and we could lose recruits. Look at how Montrezl Harrell and everyone else left from a solid class when Greenberg was fired. We could get every one of our top targets or we could miss all of them. We could pick up players who aren't even on our radar yet or even on the recruiting radar nationally. You just never know what will happen. I'm not saying I'm optimistic about the class, but I'm surely not as pessimistic as some others may be.
Edit: didn't see the /s on your post
(He's all about big star recruits. That's why he put /s)

# | Lane Stadium Atmosphere For OSU Game Had Recruits "Ready to Suit Up," Despite Losing Effort I don't know if that's sarcastic or not but all from 247. I don't have VIP but most of these are obvious

I don't know about that. I think UVa is very good at garnering a positive perception. It's all subjective whether deserved or not. I really don't give a shit.
You're still talking in the context of an individual recruit. In the context of an entire class, around 25 players, that doesn't hold true.
And if you believe that all this uncertainty means we could finish with a great class, shouldn't it also make you nervous that if our top guys could flip we could finish with barely a top 50 class? I don't see why the uncertainty is only a good thing
No, they don't, but guys like Josh Sweat, etc are the potential difference-makers in recruiting classes and eventually on the field.

"The way the fans supported the team was unforgettable," said Daniel George, a 2018 WR from Oxon Hill (Md.) HS.
Salute! Class of '81! Go Clippers!
I can have opinions without letting something genuinely bother me. There's a big difference between the two. And I know that I can make those opinions heard to factor in on coaching hires if I choose to donate enough money. I don't and therefore I don't let it affect me.
Staying out of the recruiting arguments, but no idea how this got downvoted, so I upvoted to even out.
yup, just hope we can continue the momentum!
Sure, some of the folks in the current class will likely sign with us in February. But there's a lot of time between now and then for the dynamics of recruiting to play out. Most recruiting experts will tell you that the amount of movement with recruits committing, de-committing, even re-committing back to the same team is unlike the way it used to be. It's unpredictable. That's why sites like 247 get hits when they have "crystal ball" picks. It's a guess because nobody knows how it will be. And that's why those crystal ball picks then get updated after a recruit is committed. Nothing is in stone until signing day.
I'm having a serious debate with myself over which game to watch on Sunday, since both come on at 1 PM in Richmond.
#sauces?
Dang Nabbit! Hating Ass Spurrier aught to be a little kinder next week
It's fun in blowouts/nooners where we have a comfortable lead and I'll dance along. In competitive games though, it feels very out of place and kind of kills the tension. Would much prefer something like Georgia's ominous 4th quarter hand raise in those situations.
BUT...it's a weird, unique tradition, that's defiantly ours, so I can't help but appreciate it
If that's your mentality, you have no control on anything this team does. Coaching hires, play calling, depth chart, anything. Might as well have no opinions on anything about our program.
Didn't last year either
Clemson
Northwestern
GT
Stanford
Alabama
BYU
Those are great exceptions, but the point still stands. Where a class is right now has a HEAVY indication of where it will finish.
We don't play Wake Forest this year.

I had that feeling, too. But for me, it was insinuating
