This gives me some confidence. The coaches know the talent they have and they're prepared to give him a shot, but they also know well enough that they can't ruin the kid's confidence.
Honestly though, I'm for whatever you guys think.
I'm just ready to watch Dadi and Maddy knock down some Qbs, and DBU break some shit up.
Does VT have a hyperbaric chamber kicking around anywhere? Are they supposed to help the healing process? I remember TO basically sleeping in one when the Eagles were getting ready for the super bowl and they weren't sure if he'd make it.
Worth a shot if he can just sit in the thing for a couple of hrs a day.
I wouldn't count on it. Leoffler has had his system going for a third year now. Thomas played in the first year with limited talent around him.
Actually have watched Motley throw in practice some over the years. His deep throw is markedly better than Brewer's.

In the dozens of games I've experienced in Lane Stadium I believe the Ohio State fans were the rudest and most vulgar fans I've encountered. One guy kept throwing stuff at one slightly wasted Hokie who's only crime was to tell the Ohio State fan that "it was a fumble" a couple of times in the fourth quarter. The Ohio State fan then told him to go 'f' himself among other curses. It's not easy to be worse than Miami fans.

Let me rephrase: if the player had scored without the holding penalty, it would have been 21-0 and big trouble for VT. Because there was holding, it came back, and began a change in momentum.
There are the rules and then there is how officials call it or don't call it. If you keep you hands inside, you are good. I would refer you to the PSU site Blue/White Illustrated where one of their main themes is constantly complaining about holding calls that go against them. That was what I was talking about.
Pointing out that holding was called legitimately on a scoring play, and that the game turned there, is different than "belly-aching" that it was called.

He was still trying desperately to live the college dream (well into his 40's). Luckily he was flying solo and didn't have any buckeyes to encourage him around (there were buckeyes but they largely ignored him) or he probably would've been escorted out of the game. He was just missing the slightly too drunk bro friend to push him over the edge into bad decisions.
We actually took Lawson from them. He had their offer.
I think the better option would be the ACC app. ESPN3 has blackouts for ACC Network games, generally in areas where they think you should be able to see it on TV (which looking at the list is most of the country anyway). But I checked this past Saturday, and it came through the ACC app while I had it on my local broadcast station.
Here's the thing. We can analyze this all day but I have faith in Beamer and Loeffler based on empathy for their situation. Beamer isn't on the hot seat per se in terms of job, but reputation, and Loeffler is surely on for his job. If Lawson has the potential to be our guy or if he is even close to Motley, he will play. Especially, with the next two games on the schedule. Both Beamer and Loeffler know they will need better play from our QB if they want to be a contender in the ACC this year. That said I'm not sure we've seen enough from Motley during game time to make the call. I'd expect Motley to come out as the starter against Furman, and if he struggles at all expect other QB's to get reps. Total faith in the coaches on this one.

That was our true rallying cry last year in the 'Shoe. Hit us as many times as you want, but we are going to keep getting up.
Brewer did it for the entire season honestly. Kid is tough.
I mentioned in another post that social media is a representation of your character, whether it's accurate or not. People will always take what you say and use it how they want. I don't think many people realize that everything you put online is permanent either. You would think Cardale would have learned this the hard way from "not playing school" but I guess not.
I could care less how it looks for the players but if one of our players was doing that after a game I'd be pretty upset at how it makes the school and the program look. These tweets were pretty innocent but also highly unnecessary. You let the game do the talking for you (which they did) and you move on.

I may be a homer Buckeye, but that tweet by Cardale is disrespectful of your opponent. And stupid.
Scot REALLY thought he had something. Makes me wonder what he saw, but he was crushed that he didn't get to tinker in the second half.
This. I have gotten to the point where I don't really care who the QB is as long as he gives us the best chance to win the games, and let's be honest we should win the at least the next three games. No excuses, this team still just has too much dang talent to roll over.
General admission would work great for the north end zone since it already has very limited access. Swipe to get in, when the total is hit, no one else gets in. Swipe to get out and only cards that have swiped out can swipe back in. It won't work to take a handful of passports out because security can keep people from swiping out more than one per person. If a passport tries to swipe in a second time, confiscate the sucker and try have to pay student services to get it back.
Not sure of all the logistics f it, but I remember at the LOLUVa game in Charlottesville one year ('04 maybe?) all I had to do was borrow a friend's ID, show up at 5am and sprint to save seats in the student section. It was a little chaotic but fun and it rewarded people willing to sacrifice to be there early.
A good friend of mine had to sit next to three OSU fans who got their tickets on Stubhub because some greedy VT pseudo-fan decided to cash in on the hype. My friend resented the money and time he's been contributing being denigrated by having to sit next to obnoxious fans from the other team. I think my friend wants to meet the owner of those three seats this season. I'd hate to be that guy.
