I'm 51 years old. If you are 30, I might refer to you as a "kid". If you are 17, you are a child - even if you are 6-5, 300. It's one of the habits of perspective that come with age - and maybe its a bad one. :)

Awesome, really appreciate it. I can't listen to another offseason episode of shutdown fullcast discussing the smell of mascot costumes...
I think Facyson is back next year for certain. Not only the injuries the guy has had to endure, but he has already made it clear that he sees a future for himself that is not all football. He wants to go to medical school I believe, and getting your degree is a huge part of that.
He seems to me like one of those kids that is extremely passionate about football, because he also sees it as the way to achieve what he really wants, and is taking advantage of the opportunity it provides . Its a very refreshing thing to see in a top college athlete.

If the guy was that good while playing through pain, I would not want to be anyone who lines up across from him this year...look out, world, our starting DTs are both surgically improved!

Ultimately he still banged a 15 year old, went to jail/prison, and ESPN is going to mention it. They can work on the right phrasing. The narrative will be a difficult year for Shai, ACL and jail.
I'm not judging the dude, I don't know the whole situation. But I don't think this is something that won't get picked up throughout the season.

In 27 states, statutes specify the age below which an individual cannot legally engage in sexual intercourse regardless of the age of the defendant. The minimum age requirements in these states range from 10 to 16 years of age. The legality of sexual intercourse with an individual who is above the minimum age requirement and below the age of consent is dependent on the difference in ages between the two parties and/or the age of the defendant.
so there are a few states where this was not a crime at all and states where even though it is a crime, it would not be prosecuted because of the age of the defendant.
should they know the law if they are going to have sex? yes. should one go to jail for having consensual sex as a first time offense? to me that's the State of Virginia sitting on its high horse
if I'm VT (and maybe they do this...they didn't when I was at VT), I'm telling all new students that the laws re: sex are likely to be different in the State of Virginia than their home state, and giving them a copy of the state statute.

Do we have a RSS Feed link for these podcasts? When I click on Soundcloud the only episodes on the link are Ep. 102 & 103.
I'm pretty sure if you swung at Frank he'd give you a hug and tell you a dad/grandfather story about how fighting doesn't solve anything until you start weeping and apologize.
I also loved the lines about Fedora, they were spot on.

This article was hilarious and made me think about an argument I had in 2010 of who would be the best Southpark Character. My vote, Ralph "The Fridge", but the Jimbo character looks creepy.

The way that RMFW tore straight through that hole to avoid the edge tackler, bounced off his lineman, and still picked up enough steam to break that open has me drooling....
Shows how much we miss his type of RB talent. I mean, we have had some athletic guys at RB since then, but himself and Wilson are the last guys we've had who possess the vision to break big plays open.
