No, I'm pretty sure he was mostly recruited because he is an athletic local kid with Hokie ties. I'd imagine he is open to moving positions, but right now I think he is the dark horse candidate for QB.

There was an article about thier from years past. With a recruit from Florida and FSU I believe. In these cases the first LOI received is binding. Not sure how the final ruling came down, but I think one of the coaches appealed to the NCAA.
If he didn't know he was signing 3 letters, he might belong at Ole Miss.

If I am paid to be an analyst, and I am looking objectively at the VT and UVA classes both in the context of who they signed and the positions of need that were filled (LOL, every position at UVA seems like a position of need at the moment when you win 6 games in 2 years), and I can say with a straight face that UVA did better because of 2 guys, I should lose that analyst job immediately.

If 15 wins and 2 bowl appearances is a "sinking ship" I would hate to be a Florida fan right now, that boat must be bottoms up in the Bermuda Triangle right now. Or a UVA fan or a fan of any of the 23 other major conference teams that didn't even win 6 games last year.
QBs: Leal, Durkin (I think Durkin gets used as a redzone / short yardage guy). Ford redshirts and gets stronger.
RBs: Trey, Marshawn, JCC
WRs: Stanford, Byrn, Charley Meyer / Demetri Knowles / Carlis Parker / Deon Newsome / Cam Phillips / Kendrick Holland / Isaiah Ford. I think Stanford and Byrn are the only locks for playing time. Everyone else will battle for the next 3 spots.

Also, my prediction on Defense is we switch to a 1-1 defense with Maddy at D-line and Dadi as LB. Everyone else plays DB and gets INTs. Also, Tyrod becomes eligible again and breaks the record for most pancakes in a season.
SL said he likes to have qbs for 3 or 4 yrs so I also don't see Leal starting next yr. I think one of the young guys beat him out. The best will play

I personally can't see Loeffler chosing a quarterback who he believes isn't the current number one just because he will be there for more than one year.

Since there is no football to be played right now & recruiting is all about hope for the future, that's the only reason people are talking up UVA. How many times have we seen this in recent years, people saying that UVA is on the right path? What exactly have they accomplished with the guys London has recruited so far?
