It is the right thing to do and I applaud it, but I feel like that kid should have his pick of the schools that offered him anyways. They should not be allowed to take back the scholarship offer due to injury and maybe less 15 year-olds would be getting offered so early. Just my opinion.
What's one scholly when you have about 20 5* rated players and 30 4*s on your roster?
Percy Harvin set the precedent.
Well considering that he wont be counting toward the total number of scholarship athletes on the team the jury is still out on Saban being the Devil. However, it is a very nice gesture to honor the scholarship by the staff and university.
Yes this is great, the NCAA also makes rules and exceptions for these types of freak things. I will applaud the NCAA and Saban for honoring this. Just goes to show that some people follow the rules and even though we might not like them its still good to see people doing what's best for the "athlete"
Yessir! Here's the Top VA player each year according to the Rivals 100:

2006: Percy Harvin (Florida)
2007: Tyrod Taylor (VT)
2008: EJ Manuel (FSU)
2009: David Wilson (VT)
2010: JR Ferguson (LSU)
2011: Curtis Grant (Ohio St)
2012: Eli Harold (LOLUVA)
2013: Derrick Green (Michigan)
2014: DaShawn Hand (Alabama)
I wouldn't be surprised if guys like Isaiah Ford and Cam Phillips get some playing time. Mark Leal did not help his case as a starting QB so Ford or Motley might be the starting starting in August. But, it's way too early to speculate . The coaching staff will pick the best players to win at least 10 games and play FSU in the ACC championship.
At TE, yes will be a stud. QB- no way. He's said as much in interviews that he's TE now.
he is the unknown factor to this whole equation. We have Leal, Motley, Durkin, Ford, McMillan, and Bucky.. but as its been said before he is looking like a TE come opening TC
Agreed on your comment about the Peninsula. My parents live in Hampton, and it takes me almost exactly 4 hours to get from my townhouse in Blacksburg to their house. Just checked Google Maps, and it says 4:14 between the exact addresses.
It would take me about 5:30 to get from my townhouse to OBX. No way is anywhere in the 757 a full 5.5 hours from the Burg, unless you're driving under 70 all the way up 81 and down 64.
Doht!
a gun slinger.. yes but a gunslinger without vision on the filed will do nothing. re-read French's awesome post UCLA game review. He clearly pointed out maybe 2-3 times Leal was not able to decipher his hot route, or his go to route. IE zumwalt on knowles. Yes this is his first game and it was a chaotic one at that, you should at least be able to read pre-snap coverages and know ok I have this guy as a hot route.
But I will say this: Leal is 90% unknown to us Hokie Fanatics but based off of the small sample size we already are having some doubts. I will sit back and watch and cheer on the team regardless who is QB, I just want to see improvement and a couple more TD's wouldn't hurt either.
Is there a reason that no one mentions Bucky Hodges anymore?
It can't reference a specific player or just have players at all? I mean, could it have the image of a football player without specific reference to a particular player (no jersey number or anything)? If that player "happened" to be carrying four defenders on his back just like LT3 in the sun bowl would that be a violation?
Could Holland Fisher play Whip?
who is that you speak of?
Leal is a gun-slinger. He was unprepared vs UCLA, but I think he'll be effective as a starter.
Would be surprised if Leal starts opening game. I have a feeling he will be a 4 year backup just because of the way things are shapping up. Leal to me is like another Ju Ju Clayton, he signals in the plays helps in practice but just isn't good enough in games.
He might be the Ultimate Practice Champion but a lot of times those Champion's don't pan out too well in the games.
you spelled "pummel FSU" wrong.
I also know someone abused by Holmes. And this was not related to drugs.
Utah has dibs, but if he doesn't qualify with grades, then I believe Ole Miss was the safety net. According to him, he never signed with the CC.
I saw morgan moses?
Bah, reading on a mobile and didn;t look at the link. No need to be so negative and condescending in every post you make on here

Sadly I think the biggest losers in terms of playing time from this new class will be JCC and Knowles, which is unfortunate, I like both...but I just think it'll be tough for those guys to hold onto their playing time given the talent coming in at RB & WR.
