How about some of these 2014 class running backs coming in? I say give them every chance as I wouldn't count on Edmunds to be fully recovered, and well, Coleman and Mangus are simply not every-down backs.

I know that in Boxing and MMA that there is a magic button around the chin that when hit, jolts the head just right, and there is a TKO. I think Zumwalt hit that button because Logan didn't hit the ground like someone who was conscious. Lot a respect for Logan taking a hit like that fearlessly while completing a pass.
I was pissed when that dude got co-MVP who 'targeted' LT. He should have been ejected after that hit. He had 2 more helmet to helmet hits after that which were questionable at best. Dude plays dirty. I hope LT's concussion isnt too bad.
this. so much this. run the ball so much that the starter (whoever THAT ends up being) gets gassed and sits out a few series where the backup runs so much HE has to sit out a few series while HIS backup pounds the rock a few more 100 yards and then repeat. I can dream can't I?

me too. But thought it was still worth pointing it out. I think am looking forward to seeing him and Gayle in the Senior bowl. I think he is really going stand out and really improve his draft stock in that game.

not at all impressed by Leal. I understand he has experience, but its as a backup. Its one thing to be a backup and quite another to be on the field making instantaneous decisions. imo he largely looked as lost on the field as a true freshman. I'm looking at Motley and Ford for next season
I don't think that that hit ended his career. Not nit picking, just a point that needed to be made. I think that we will definitely see him in the NFL.

The good old days of pounding the rock are about 10 years past. As a team, we did well running the ball before the hiring of Curt Newsome. The pistol can be a very effective formation for running the football and getting your RB going downhill immediately. Now, it's time for Grimes to get his OLine performing at a level that will allow us to get the running game going.
