Jarrett Ferguson never killed all life on Mars.
He's a talented recruiter, it would hurt to see him go.
I can't really explain why, but this image speaks to me.

He's an alum. Guess he'd be riding on that.
CFA has 5th pick of SEC, so the teams in the title game probably won't fall that far.
Did you see their new stadium?
Beamer doesn't like change and will do all he can to keep him
He was a good coach with class and always fielded a comptetive team. Didn't they win the ACC a few years back and beat GT?
If I'm Fairchild and London insists on putting Lambert in the game after Watford has been playing pretty well and putting some pressure on Bud's defense, I tell London one more time I need Watford in the game. If he refuses, I take off my headset, walk down to the field, hand him the playsheet, flip him the bird and resign on the spot.
But that's just me.
He had more consensus ACC titles than UVA or Miami!
Didn't play enough is the big knock. We all know Exum would have probably been in the mix too but you miss about half the season, especially late in the season and people forget what you have done. He still had the second most Pass Breakups amongst the top six CBs even missed all that time.
this is golden. beyond golden even (not sure what that makes it but yeah!)
Most of the voters just look at stats because they haven't watched more than a handful of games other than the team they are really focused on and his stats make him look like a rock star.
I thought it was a big mistake to take Watford out and glad they did as he could (and did at times) hurt us with his legs. I'm surprised they didn't game plan like MD did against us, but we would have won anyway.
I love his ability to make accurate throws with zip outside the pocket and on the run. You can't be taught that- you either have it or you don't, and it seems like he has it.
YES. It's pretty darn hard to coach a guy on how to throw on the run, since a good number of the "rules" (ie, set your feet, etc) either go out the window or get a whole lot harder to follow. Kid definitely does a good job of putting the ball where it needs to be.
I will always associate Jim Grobe with WF
I agree that Collins overall would have been my pick for 2nd team at worst. I think the one spot that he dropped off on later in the season is what cost him here. Sacks are sexy and he failed to have one the last four games and he sat out against Duke. He had 4.5 sacks in the first four games and only .5 the rest of the season.
At DT, Jernigan being beaten by Whitlock though was a bigger shock to me. Aaron Donald was a beast at Pitt and D Hopkins has the other slot here so its a case of deep talent at one spot. Maddy was a victim of this talent.
Kyle didn't play enough so if you look at the stats (and you know a bunch of these folks, that's all they did) I am surprised he ended up that high. He has the lowest tackle total of all six CB's. He did have 10 passes defended which is second best among the six. I am not sure how Cockrel from Duke got up that high, but being on the winning team helps a bunch. Kendall is who I would have argued was the most deserving of first team off this defense. 57 tackles, .5 sack, 6 picks and 9 passes defended per ESPN stats. He was always in the right place at the right time and consistently made big plays regardless of game.
Other than that, although we have great team defense, but no one really jumps out at you as a game changer that would dominate for a first team slot. Sometimes it pays off to be the one shining jewel in the coal pile.
On Offense, no offense but Logan wasn't going to get that nod and we all know how much of the offense was all him this season, so no much left to pick from there.
great stuff!
I gotta feeling.....that was Watford's last game in the blue and orange. Kinda felt like his coach gave up on him, didn't it?
OMG that almost made me lose my shit in the middle of the office
I concur. I think working with Lefty will really help him out, and I love his ability to make accurate throws with zip outside the pocket and on the run. You can't be taught that- you either have it or you don't, and it seems like he has it.
... pretty salty
But how will UVA make room for Jim Grobe on their staff?

I just have you your 666th leg. Hope you're not superstitious or afraid of long dead Roman emperors.
