We should start at campaign to get him hired as the UVA HC. Just for the grins watching the apoplexy.

He probably already has a playbook. In fact, I'd be shocked if he doesn't.

I was thinking the same thing in July of last year... then I saw him play in the fall.

Same exact thought process for me as well. Had completely written him off, until I saw him throw the ball in the summer. He's got a surprisingly good arm. How accurate is it? Not sure. How well does he know the play book and make his reads? Not sure.

But I'm convinced he has the physical tools to play. Certainly athletic enough.

The slightest mention of Shane Beamer and they go bonkers. It's pretty funny.

Man, I really wish that his dad had allowed him to not qualify for our program! GOOD GOD, I'm so JEALOUS of UVA!

I like Sun Bowl because we are not currently traveling well in my opinion. The game that far away wouldn't show the fact that we are not currently traveling well due to the low expectations. Also UCLA is probably going to be a good matchup given how well they performed against USC last week and how they performed overall through the year. Peach bowl would obviously be great but I would be surprised to see that happen.

The Sun Bowl to me would be a bummer. Not saying thats not what our season results deserve, but would just be a letdown. Specifically because El Paso blows.

I fly there about once a month for work, I could probably swing a free flight through work to go to the game, and I still would most likely not do it. Thats how much El Paso sucks. As the article mentions, I would hope Hokie Nation would not be booking travel thinking that its going to be a nice respite from winter weather. It is cold in that part of Texas on New Years.

Would be a good matchup against UCLA (or Pac 12 team we would normally never see), so from that standpoint I would enjoy it. But a decent TV matchup would not help our reputation in terms of selling tickets which is flagging a bit as of late.

They were limited after the Edmunds injury. They could not use the full compliment of the passing game because Coleman was undependable in pass protection, and Logan was very inaccurate in the second half. And NOBODY can tell me that Logan was not hurt at some point in the Boston College game given how little he ran the ball in short yardage down the stretch. It definitely impacted his running ability. But, the positive is that Loeffler at least was showing trust in the guys who need to get those first downs next year when they can't lean on Logan.

According to Shuman, Turtle has to stay at FUMA all year, and apparently he has not passed his SATs yet. He may never get in to UVA.

I don't disagree, but Shane needs to turn it down a bit.

I may be in the minority but I didn't like how Shane handled the Fairchild situation. If someone takes a shot at your football team or the university, you don't (publicly) strike back at them. It demonstrates weakness when you publicly acknowledge a troll.

If a reporter says "Steve Fairchild said 'Virginia Tech is for UVA rejects', how do you feel about that?", I want Shane to take the high ground and privately rip Fairchild to shreds in the locker room. Show recruits and recruits' families that you're not petulant.
