hahaha, Awesome!
I titled the photo "Hokies invade LOLUVA"
Edit: renamed it "The sun sets on the Cadaveliers Season"
Love Uncle Frank breaking it down
Last year's bowl game begs to differ..
A well deserved nod a a steller D-Block unit. Hope he wins it and raises his profile enough to help recruiting, but not so much as to get a better paying gig somewhere else; I know, I'm a selfish dick.
Guess the "Decade of Dominance" t-shirt pushed him over the edge.
9 years, perfectly fine. Double Digits = TOO FAR
10 years and counting. I think at this point the Commonwealth Cup can start being decorated like a Pimp Cup with some diamonds and Uncle Frank can start doing press conferences and recruiting trips with it.
Ford is enrolling in January, so he'll have more experience with the playbook than most freshmen.
In the past 10 years VT has outscored UVA 293 to 99
that's roughly an average score of 30-10.
DOMINANCE with a capital D!!!!
you're right, not sure how I got those messed up. it's ok, no one will forget 38-0. ever.
Its that time of year again. It was Clemson, Pitt, and others before. If Bud leaves, my thought is that it will have to be a D-1 school with East Coast recruiting area. AAC or C-USA or MAC. Would love to see him stay, but if being a HC is his dream, it will be tough to defer that dream. The man is a millionaire in Blacksburg, a fan favorite, and will never have to do anything else to be a VT legend for life.
Meh... thats alright
/sarcasm
typically HC jobs open up at crappy school with bad seasons. Sometimes they open at blue chip schools with HC leaving is disgrace. Your first HC job is like your first car or first girlfriend: a good place to start, learn a few things, then trade it in for a better one when the first chance you get.
beautiful. just beautiful.
but the scores for 2011 and 2012 are off. we shall never forget 38-0 bro
In approximately the following order:
1) Bud Foster. He may not make a great HC for all of the reason's we've already talked about but I'm willing to take the risk because he's Bud.
2) Steve Addazio. I just get the impression that his mentality and coaching style would fit with our school.
3) Chris Peterson. I doubt that he'd want to come to the east coast but if he's still at Boise when Beamer retires you have to give him a call.
4) Charlie Strong. The fact that he turned down Tennessee last year to stay at Louisville makes me think he wouldn't leave unless a truly elite job opened up but once again, worth a call.
Yeah. Made his Offense run down the field and spike the ball instead of using his timeout, leaving 3 seconds.
What was he saving that for?
Is there some clause in his contract that adds bonus money for unused Timeouts?
Bud has earned the right to the position, but I do wonder if he has the personality to pull it off. Then again, Bo Pelini, Les Miles, etc have been head coaches for a while. If they can fake it, why can't Bud.
VT wouldn't even need to hire a DC with Bud's promotion. Move Shane from RB to Special teams and hire a RB coach.
You mean like Gus Malzahn going to Arkansas State before returning to Auburn to coach them to a 11-1 SEC title game?
How do you keep a UVA fan from masturbating?
You paint his junk maroon and orange and he won't beat it for 10 years.
If I had a friend who typically overreacts during football games, and it's a tie game with 1 second left, and a team is attempting a field goal to win (arguably) the biggest rivalry in college football, I would have my camera ready.
This was five years away from happening:
35 TDs - 7 Interceptions with a 67.6% Completion rate
November 29, 2003, was the day that I proposed to my ex-wife. I sincerely apologize for throwing the Hokie cosmos off.

I'd think Bud would take either Wiles or Gray with him to be his DC, the other would stay to be the DC of VT. I doubt either of them would pass up the coordinator job to continue to be an assistant at a smaller school.
