Its usually a good number of Hokies in the Fontaine Lot - its the lot that I've always gone too, since it's easy access from Rt 250 and Rt 29. PLUS you still get to take Exit 118B!!!
It's a 20 minute walk to the stadium, so not too bad. Plus it's a good crowd - not very snobby like the ones closer to the stadium

It'll be restructured - you can count on that. And the way the league is going, he still won't break the top 10 until 2016, and that's assuming no other top QB gets a new contract.
You need to understand that the 100 million (which you're basing the highest paid QB thing off of) doesn't matter squat to NFL teams. That's why they pay these guys so much. The NFL and the teams make billions of dollars. The only thing that matters to them is how much it affects the salary cap, because that's the only thing that limits their spending. And as I've said frequently, Joe Flacco doesn't even reach the top 10 among QB's in the league until 2016, if absolutely nothing changes between then, which is pretty much impossible.

Amen. I listen to the Fanatic pretty regularly and between the Phils, Birds, and Flyers fans (Sixer fans are just happy they're still in Philly) its a rollercoaster.
This year its $6.8 million. Here are the remaining years of the deal:
2014 - $14.8M
2015 - $28.5M
2016 - $31.1M
2017 - $24.7M
Now, the likelihood that doesn't get restructured at some point might be slim. However, it also 1) Prevents the Ravens from trying to find their "QB of the future" if Flacco does not pan out as elite because you simply can not afford to put so much money into 1 position and 2) It really handcuffs them attracting talented players that are looking for multi year deals.
So it might be a "steal" for this season specifically, and good thing too because he is playing average at best. Gotta love that his QBR has gone down from 2010 to 2011, and then from 2011 to 2012, and yet he is one of the highest paid QBs in the whole league.
It's not that I really have anything against Flacco, but I do find myself wishing moderate bodily harm on the guy every time I see him play. Nothing too serious, but just enough so I can see Tyrod.

I wish the Wake vs Vandy series wasn't ending after this year. It seems they are meant for each other. They both wear black and gold. They both are USUALLY in the bottom half of their conferences. They are relatively close distance wise. The combination makes for a good ACC-SEC rivalry. They both are strong academic schools. Wake's instate in conference rivals are playing others. Vandy's instate in conference rival Tennessee doesn't care about them (Vandy is maybe their 5th potential rival). Vandy is an afterthought for Tennessee, at least before James Franklin. Is it just me or is Wake-Vandy a natural match up?

Yeah, but you can only play with salary cap limits for so long. He might have had a low impact this year, but what is he next year, etc.
Boldin is gone partially as they can't afford the impacts from a couple big contracts in future years.

I think he's more referring to Frank's ability to keep up with the global idea of bcs football rather than management during each individual game much like younger kids are always the ones keeping up with the hottest technology. While the old technology still works, its not the most efficient or exciting way to do it anymore.
Just to play devil's advocate, I can see how some people are ready for Frank to throw in the towell. From day to day, he's more of a CEO "big cheese" manager than he is a head coach. And yes, he is fantastic at managing the team and all of his coordinators. But at the end of the day, his title is still "coach" and a coach needs to connect and relate to his players. As much as it pains me to say this, head ball cop excels in this area as this has been reflected in recruiting. He brings excitment and companionship to young players out of high school in a way that (i'm not trying to be racist but we're all thinking it) an older white man simply can not compete with. I think the kids view frank more as that authoritative figure that he is and less as a friend they can joke around with and high five. Whats that you say? All those twitter videos of Frank dancing with the team? Lets be honest, its cute at the time but is that really quality bonding? We as older fans have to realize that young players minds are much more superficial than ours. They place importance on petty things such as appearance and age rather than looking beneath the skin. I might be starting to go offtopic here but there are numerous reasons that star recruits pick the hoos over the hokies that have nothing to do with the university or the football team's record. But I digress...some fans are looking to see a head coach that plays more of a traditional "coach" than CEO role because thats how it is for them in High School. Beamer is fantastic at what he does and has been for many years but I think that those fans shouting for his head are really just looking for that younger beamer that used to invent exciting plays for the players and fans to watch. Frank is so "by the book" these days and you can't argue that he sounds complacent in his interviews. Whether that is how he really feels, thats not what people want to hear after a loss.
Now take a step back...I don't agree with everything I said...just playing devil's advocate. I'm not ready for Frank to go and I think he's made steps towards a brighter future with his staff changes. He's got exciting coordinators in there that should keep kids interested and I'm looking forward to see where this all goes. I want Frank to fill that trophy case before he leaves. The hokies owe that much to him and the legacy he's created.
