Man im watching this game and I see some serious glaring weaknesses. Like our Oline and our entire defense. Im also thinking coaching change and an OC change. Chip Kelly is a great playcaller
I think this post brings up a valid point. There seems to be a hostility to anyone who questions whether or not Frank still has it. I was there before Frank and I remember the suck we experienced. We've been close to winning the big one but we've never made it over the hump. I've enjoyed the ride and I don't see anything wrong with wanting more or raising valid questions. Not every fan who says gee why aren't we more consistent is spoiled. My time in the army taught me complacency kills. This program got complacent and the results of that complacency are showing up on the field. I'll give the new coaches the benefit of the doubt for now. But I think this team is better than the record indicates. I think there is a leadership issue that needs to be resolved. We should have 1 lose right now. But that's life and that's why they play the game. I do not expect another rebuilding year next year...whether it's Leal or Ford a playmaker has to step up. There has to be a leader who can motivate this team and get them up for every game. Otherwise we will always loose to a JMU or Duke or BC. We have to stop playing up or down to the level of competition. I want to see VT show up and play to win every game . If we loose because the other team is better then fine but we'll never get to that level without proper leadership. Go Hokies! Beat UVA!

The lack of preparedness also shows up in bowl games. After four weeks off, other teams come in primed and pumped for action. After four weeks off, VT comes in rusty. That is coaching.

The loss to USC-Upstate may not have been as bad as originally thought. They just lost to Tennessee in Knoxville by 9 and led a good part of the game. UT is picked 3rd in the SEC behind Kenoneanddonetucky and Florida.

Hm, I have to disagree with you about our fan base. I think we appreciate the ten win seasons, because it shows consistency, but we've always longed for the NC.
Hence us always clamoring for offensive staff changes to be made, even after 10-11 win seasons... because questionable play calling was always holding us back from the big game

The Hokies have won 13 of the 16 years the cup has been in existence.

Also going with it is the old basketball area built in the 1950's. Such a sweet place. Sorry to see it go.
Watching our special teams has been like watching an awkward kitten try to climb down a set of stairs. Your rooting for it, and you love it, and you think there's a chance it won't fall on it's face this time. After it falls on its face you feel disappointing in yourself for expecting anything different. It just doesn't look like they're executing. It's like... there's only so much time in the week to try and nail everything down and as much as offense is struggling, we focus our time on that, and we try to get the defense to where it can make up for the offense, and then we're out of time for the special teams.
So about like this.
We need a fickle/overreaction fan meme, ASAP! Lol
Alright, I can go for that. We got handled for pretty much the entire game in every phase of the game. We looked like we were a mere nuisance to a better Maryland team.
I hope we win. I think we have more talent. I've just learned that every VT game this year, you have to wait and see what Virginia Tech is going to come play.
Because sadness.
At least Duke looks decent when they play (been improving all year) and are well coached. Losing to LOLUVA would be a million times worse.
