I'm with you on 'TKP every day'. I find it hard to go to any other place to get any sporting news that deals with VT.
We'll take points wherever we can get them
I have 't run the stats but, it seems ( emphasizing seems here, I have not analyzed a thing on it) we win when the defense scores.
The offense needs scoring help from the defense.
If we can get a safety, pick or fumble or blocked kick for 6, it seems like it would mean the difference.
A lot of pro teams have gone to loading the tickets onto a card. It would be a lot more efficient if the tickets were loaded on the Hokie Passports. Non students would still have the regular tickets.

Thanks. You're certainly welcome, good sir.
Not sure if Missouri was the best example, as they signed Dorial Greene Beckham before last year, a guy who was rated the #1 recruit in the country and is a 6'6" WR....
Alabama has one chant, Roll Tide. We have Let's Go Hokies. I don't know of many teams that have more than one. PSU is We Are Penn State.
Sarcastica, I presume?
Virginia Tech (As always, I can't not)
Wisconsin (Screw it, I want you to have nice things, BCO...)
Michigan State (I guess if I'm going to pick VT to cover, I'd have to pick MSU for the same kinda reasons)
Georgia (Coin toss, plus I want to keep seeing Spencer Hall and CelebrityHotTub react hilariously to Muschamp's shortcomings)
Texas Tech (When in doubt, home team... I guess)
Florida State (This might be Clemson ugly... or might even make Clemson feel better about themselves)
I don't get it man.
Remember when ESPN used to be the world wide leader in sports. I get that it's a Disney thing now, but there is less passion and knowledges there than ever before.
It amazes me that there is so much difference between the NFL and the NCAA. It trickles from the top down as well. From marketing to refs to coverage etc.
So, here's where it stands: The key play everyday, that's what I say.
No one here is bashing Kyle. If his stock is up, great for him, he's having a good year and deserves it. But it's not Bitter's job to hype draft prospects, just to report on interesting ones. And the impact of Exum's return from injury is more of an unknown than Kyle's play obviously improving his draft stock.
Man Andy, you are a terrible judge of facial hair talent. No mention of Adazzio's moustache? Its stock is way up.
Does it concern anyone else that we have only one signature chant (Let's Go...Hokies)? Which while awesome isn't necessarily creative or unique. Our other traditions require band or AV support (e.g., Enter Sandman). When on the road or at a bowl game we can't respond to roll tide, goooo biggggg reddddd, etc. I think we need to put our heads together and create something; something that can be chanted in concourses or subways.
Can we build on Gobble Gobble? Hokie Hokie Hokie Hi? Fighting Gobblers?
I think everyone does appreciate Kyle; he's one of my favorite players. Just be careful what argument you're trying to have. It's one thing to start a discussion about how CBS is predicting Kyle to be highly drafted but ESPN is not. That's a debate worth having. Accusing Andy of bad/incomplete reporting or sucking at analyzing talent is totally misplaced.
She almost definitely learned some new ones during the Duke game.

# | Bitter blog - ESPN's Todd McShay weighs in on Thomas, Exum, Gayle's draft stock CBS sports and draftscout maintain active player rankings that are up to date. CBS has Kyle ranked as the 5th corner and 51st player overall. Draftscout has Kyle ranked as the 2nd corner and a 2nd round draft choice.
Player rankings change. Kyle has had a fantastic year and his stock has gone way up. I say we all appreciate that!
Notice that Andrew Luck was a REDSHIRT freshman. That extra year makes a lot of difference.
He interviewed someone who keeps tabs on draft stock. Some scouts still have LT as a 1st or 2nd rounder, so I don't know that his stock is "way down". The article wasn't about Andy ranking VT's draft prospects, just what Todd McShay thought about a few of them. And like others have mentioned, it's not hard to see why Logan, Antone, and James were mentioned: quarterback, return from injury, and pass rush/first target that came to McShay's mind.

# | Bitter blog - ESPN's Todd McShay weighs in on Thomas, Exum, Gayle's draft stock If I'm not mistaken, this was not a one on one interview. McShay was fielding questions from several people. So Bitter got to 2 questions regarding the highest rated prospects from last year. That was how LT is looking in the draft and how Exum will do with a follow-up of who else catches his eye. I'm sure if Bitter could, he would have asked about every defensive senior, but he didn't so just calm yourself down.
again, you think Kyle is the most talented and that is your opinion. But until you show me credentials I won't respect your opinion since it doesn't align with those of the draft analysts. If you read above you'll see that Andy DID in fact ask McShay, who is a professional at this, who else besides Exum. Clearly, since McShay didn't even mention Kyle, his draft stock is not as high as you think it should be.
I am thinking this game may just be the game that allows me to see one of my lifelong goals, a 2-0 football game. A holy grail of sorts.
To be fair... I'm pretty sure he said that the last time too.
I don't understand why you're trashing Bitter for this article. He was interviewing McShay who said everything that was said about LT's draft potential. Don't shoot the messenger. Bitter was probably (and I could be wrong here but I think it's a fair assumption) just asking the questions that his readers posed to him. He's probably had a lot of his readers ask him where he thinks LT will go in the draft and if Exum's late return from his injury will affect his draft stock. So he went into this interview with the goal of asking those questions for his constituents. I don't think it's fair to blast Bitter for interviewing McShay. I didn't see anywhere in this article where Bitter put his opinion down regarding who was going to be drafted and when. He's just relaying information that was probably asked for by other people.

I think we should revive Stick it In.
The band doesn't have to get involved if we change the cadence a bit.
