He wasn't targeted much, if at all, and he looked very good in coverage. But, he and the other defensive backs really struggled to get off blocks when Boone was able to get outside on the read option or when Jela Duncan broke a screen. The best part of Duke's offense was their wide receiver option stalk blocking. It was outstanding.
We heard that Facyson might, but Exum's first game back, Facyson was dealing with a concussion. Maybe against BC we'll see some game Facyson on offense.
I think the main confusing thing for me is this. When we are great, why do we have those hiccups? This goes back farther than 10 years. We have dominated games only to lose with two minutes left. We are riding high, then Duke, temple, Miami of Ohio, etc happens.
I think this is why so many people won't consider us an elite team.

Because if it seems obvious to us, it's obviously obvious to the opposing defenses... I was frustrated at the announcer saying that bit about sneaking it because if you do it on every short down and distance, everyone is going to stack the box against it and stuff it like they did last year time and time again. I feel like maybe we could incorporate a play-action sneak where LT takes a step toward the line and does something similar to the Tebow jump-pass.

It is a possibility. But then there are a lot of possibilities. Like only winning one more game, making this regular season still better than last. I suspect that our boys didn't give credit to Duke, and Duke played to win. I'm hoping the team doesn't make the same mistake.

My friends and I, as well as pretty much everyone I've ever talked to, did this as well. South End Zone sucks, and I mean SUCKS from an atmosphere perspective compared to East or North. Maybe if everyone who had tickets there actually sat there it wouldn't be so bad, but the fact of the matter is freshman year a lot of people legitimately acquire East tickets and then their friends who end up with South sneak in with them to sit there, so South will never fill unless it is switched to non-student seating where the people who get those tickets actually intend to sit where they're supposed to.

Nice find, beat BC and were back in the rankings! Lol it's interesting that the two highest rated teams we have faced both won. Duke is actually ranked higher then any of the teams we beat and of our remaining games only Miami is ranked higher then Duke.

And this is why I avoided coming on this site all day saturday and all day today. Kind of like the guy sitting behind me saying we were going to lose to Duke when there was still 8 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Yes, we ended up losing, but don't be a sourpuss when there is still that much time left. And don't downvote for opinions. Redonkulous.
Do we have another kicker worth two shyts? Cody isn't dependable this season..missed 4 FGs at ECU, nearly cost us the marshal game with a miss, and did in fact cost us the Duke game..if he makes the other two it's 16 13 HOKIES.
