I posted a similar sentiment earlier, in 100% agreement.

I keep going back to 2007 because it was so crazy. Things do happen- they did back then and they are right now right in front of us...too tempting to pass up the "What Ifs" as a fan.

Clemson lost as big as they did because Boyd panicked and tried to play "hero ball", and ended up making dumb mistakes.

See Tyrod in the Stanford game. Same kind of ordeal.

We actually have two medical schools. Our osteopathic school (VCOM) is ten years old. Our allopathic school (VT Carillion in Roanoke) is in its fourth year.

We've really got to stop the assumption that this team is going to be the Coastal Champion. Still got to play Duke, BC, Miami, and Maryland.

Duke had the Hokies down almost 20 pts last year. The Hokies have to play BC at BC at noon. You might as well hook the team up with Demerol IV's right before kick-off. Miami hasn't even fucking lost a game yet. It's soooo Heather Dinich to write off the U because they ALMOST lost last Thursday. What I saw was a team overcoming 4 turnovers, a hurt Johnson, a hostile Thursday night crowd, and a team with NOTHING to lose to get away with a win.

The schedule is definitely not an SEC murderer's row, but I wouldn't call it a lock.

If I'm a Hokie coach...first, I grow my goatee. Then I tell the guys that we need the intensity that got us here the rest of the way, so we can write our own ticket ... because it's going to suck to have to watch other games and root for somebody else to win/lose on our behalf.

I don't think that UVa will be getting a vet school anytime soon considering that ours is the Virginia-Maryland School of Veterinary Medicine, or something along those lines. From what I've heard too, Virginia isn't really supporting the Vet school.

and we probably shouldn't get into it here, but

Read: "and we probably shouldn't get into it here. Nevermind, let's do this shit."

I think they are going to lose 5 scholarships for 3 years, 2 years probation, and get time served on the bowl bans. The first bowl ban I give them no credit for as Miami would have lost money going to Shreveport but they did man up and skip the ACC CG last year.

Yea but then they will say that those random bowls don't really count because they were more of a vacation for the team/they didn't focus on it/it was a long break between games, or some other excuse to make the SEC feel better

I hope the team is 100% focused on Duke, but as a fan, its hard to not think about winning out, beating FSU and getting one more shot to #BEATBAMA

I guess we've just been in an era where the conferences who have one team in the Championship game often have another that is eligible for a BCS berth and are often picked (see Florida against Louisville last year). It's not often that someone from that conference isn't represented at the bowl though. One exception was the 2012 Sugar Bowl against Michigan but that year, both LSU and Bama were in the title game so no other SEC team could play in a BCS bowl.

They were shell-shocked, at home, on a national stage. I think they just froze after FSU's first barage and never got back up. While not as bad it is similar to the WVU game. The stage was simply too big for them in both cases.

Dabo is a great coach (love him or hate him) but it'll be interesting to see where this team goes from here. This type of loss can destroy a program, especially with Boyd and Wakins, your two best players, leaving after the season.

All that said, Clemson being good is good for the ACC and Death Valley is an incredible atmosphere. I hope they can keep the hype around that program up. It's better for all of us that way.
