Back to Back wins against teams we should beat would be a nice start.
Then I want the Miami game to be sometime other than noon.
Then I want to destroy UMD and humiliate UVA, then I want to Shame-eis Jameis in the ACCCG.
And if you really are Santa, a red rider B.B. gun
I'm also pretty sure they throw out the highest and lowest rankings when they do the calculations, but the "NR" is due to the fact that one idiotic computer poll has us at #32... since it's below 25 it's "no ranking." If you look through the computer rankings for all the teams, you'll notice more and more NRs as you get to the 17-25 range
i'm not sure i would dub duke and bc "giant killers" or anything
I took this off of the BCS Website. But here's the rule:
If a bowl loses a host team to the NCG, then such bowl shall select a replacement team from among the automatic-qualifying teams and the at-large teams before any other selections are made. If two bowls lose host teams to the NCG, each bowl will get a replacement pick before any other selections are made. In such case, the bowl losing the No. 1 team gets the first replacement pick, and the bowl losing the No. 2 team gets the second replacement pick. If the Rose Bowl loses both the Big Ten and Pac-12 champions to the NCG, it will receive two replacement picks.
Basically the Orange Bowl could pick whoever they wanted if FSU ends ranked #1 and would have second pick at whoever they wanted if they finished #2 with the following exceptions:
Thy cannot select the BCS #1 or #2 (obviously) and they also cannot select another "host" BCS team. So that would mean they couldn't pick a conference champion committed to another BCS game.
So for example, if FSU finishes at #2 and Alabama at #1, then the Sugar Bowl would have first choice as to which at large team they would like to replace Alabama with. They could select anyone with the exception of the B1G, Pac12, and Big XII champions because they are hosts to the Rose Bowl and Fiesta Bowl repectively. The Orange Bowl would then have second pick to replace FSU with an at-large team with the same restrictions.
The selection procedure is complicated and strange. It's interesting to look at, and you can have a good laugh at the Notre Dame rule (seriously, how do they have a rule just for them?).
I think the NCAA should require them to use that clip from "Stepbrothers" as their pre-game entrance.
Boatz and Hoez! Boatz and Hoez!
I've been focusing one game at a time and wearing the same t shirt every weekend. THESE THINGS EFFECT EVERYTHING DAMMIT
I want to see the Trey Edmunds Express depart from Backfield Station
I'd like to see a complete team win but mainly the offense playing better together..running and passing. Also, scoring in the redzone and not kicking FGs.
Got 17 points from him in my standard league. Hopefully he gets established as my other receivers have been big flops.
The NCAA clears them. Then a jubilant Hurricane team finds themselves utterly crushed by a Hokie team on a roll.
I think we'll see something, but not terribly much. I'm thinking scholarship reductions, and that's it. Maybe probation, but don't count on it.
And NEGATIVE rushing yards for Duke. Always fun to see that on the scoreboard at the end of the game.
What's sad is how fast they acted on Haha Clinton-Dix and Manziel but it took them this long for Miami. Not to mention that UNCheat hasn't had anything happen to them yet.
I'll be shocked if they get any punishment above those self-inflicted.
If dad was a Terp, he would have an extremely smug look on his face after beating Duke.
It's crazy how much they wanted that to be a rivalry, and Duke simply dismissed them.
Go Hokies.
The NCAA should be ashamed of themselves for how long this has taken.
Miami should be declared as sufficiently punished just for leaving them hanging for so long.
Couldn't agree more!
Was just a matter of time for him and we all knew what he could do. Really happy for the kid and good for Hokie Nation. He was a special player here.
Haven't read article, i live in $EC country, so I can guess what it says. "SEC teams beating themselves, they must all be good. Best conference ever." Stupid, If any $EC schools get knocked off, the BCS must rotate a few more in. Must be built into the code or something. Alabama is light years better than the SEC average and it shows, but since there needs to be at least 5 SEC school in the top 15, ESPN will start saying Bama could compete against the Super Bowl Champs. And knowing BAMA fans, they will believe it. Where does that leave me. In waders to the arm pits, so that junk doesn't mess up my clothes. Aggravating
Edit: Read Article...Didn't say anything like what I said above...Was pretty down to earth...Guess I'll shut up now
Knowledge:
When SEC teams lose to other SEC teams, it's because the SEC depth is so good.
When SEC teams lose to non-SEC teams, the SEC team obviously had a let-down game. Prepare yourself for bowl season guys, because there will be a lot SEC team let-downs.
And VT wouldn't be parked behind one with 2 losses, and just in front of another.
I imagine Ried, Shai (if we get him), and possibly Williams will all redshirt but like that they are all bigger than the backs we have now. I imagine Edmunds will be up to 220lbs and possibly Caleb, too with some gentrification. I want to see Mangus and Coleman utilized more now though.
It is crazy how long it took for this to come to an end. I know I shouldn't be surprised, but come on. Given that nothing has leaked (like previous big sanctions) I don't imagine it will result in any post season ban. Don't know how, but don't see that occurring...
And, looks like NC (the state, not the school) is going in a different route trying to put the blame on the agents while going after them. Knowing the NCAA, they will take that as sufficient penalty and do nothing.
