Maybe I don't remember the current BCS rules properly, but in your scenario (we lose to eventual National Championship Game participant FSU in the ACCCG), I believe we automatically go to the Orange as the ACC representative. There is no 'at-large' about it.

I can't tell if you're serious, and we probably shouldn't get into it here, but if you really think that using a tribe's name (Seminole, Blackhawk, Ute, etc.) is worse than using a derogatory slang/nickname derived from skin color (think equivalents for people of African or Asian decent, and see if you feel that nickname would be appropriate for a football squad), I got nothin' for ya'. I will give you that the Cleveland Indian's mascot symbol is a good bit worse than the Redskins'.
Admittedly, I'm not a fan of the Redskins, or really any particular NFL team. And I understand how tough it would be for a name change to happen (would they still feel like 'your' team, even if nothing else changed?) to a team you grew up with. But the assertion that other Native American based team names are worse seems preposterous to me.
So much win here! Besides, it could be argued that his dad is rocking UMD colors.
I'm thinking he/she/it is either:

I would love to see Trey go H.A.M. and rush for over 125 yds, LT3 play like he has the past 3 games (efficient and no turnovers), no "brainfarts" on D (blown assignments), and finally, I would like to see some big plays on special teams. I want some short fields for our "O" due to having some good punt returns...........
I'm guessing we see Mangus move back to WR for next year? With Reid, Williams, and possibly Shai coming in, our backfield will be crowded.

This team just feels different. I think we take care of a Duke team that will put some point on the board this weekend, and Frank and the staff have these kids with their heads in the right place for an early BC kickoff. The fact that BC has always played us tough is a good reminder, but I think its important to note that this team is chock full of guys that don't just expect to win every game anymore. They will be ready to play

This game scares the crap outta me for some reason. Also, I hope the coaches keep the team motivated. With all the youth we have on this time, I hope they dont lose focus due to the recent "love" we are getting in the polls. I hope they dont think that we are better than we really are...........as has happened in the past. Im just so sick of us "playing down" to the level of our competition. For once I would like to see us dominate games like we used to........from start to fininsh....

Not necessarily. It's still an "at-large" bid, but it must come from the ACC. That's part of the whole bowl tie-in. The Orange Bowl MUST have an ACC team in it. So it could be Clemson, it could be Miami, or it could be us. It would depend on who is looking better and ranked higher. In a scenario where Clemson wins out and we win out but lose the ACC Championship to Florida State, Clemson would likely be the bid for the Orange Bowl. Oddly enough, this year has the potential to be the year the ACC gets the short end of the "2 BCS bowl bids max per conference" rule that the SEC has seen affect them in past years.
