Yes to all. #1 is absolutely key. Look past no one, play your 100% best every week, then give it 200% against the Hoos.
I don't see how we jump 4 spots by not playing, unless everyone else decided to simultaneously implode. I suspect we only crack the top-15 if we win out through Miami. Finish the season undefeated in the ACC and maybe we're talking top-10, but there's a lot that has to happen for all that to come true.
Hell hath no fury like a sports pundit scorned.
Boykin is STRUGGLING against the ravens today...
VT vs aTm would be a good game. Strength against strength. And after seeing aTm underwhelm against Arkansas and Ole Miss, I think we would have a decent shot of pulling the "upset". Regardless, it's a given that any team in the $EC is going to get more style points for a win in conference, even a close one against $EC bottom-dwellers, than teams in other conferences will earn for beating their conference foes. Thus 2-loss Georgia with all their injuries is still #15, and 1-loss aTm is ahead of other teams without losses. Yes, I know, Alabama, but aTm has no wins against ranked teams, unlike Missouri, Miami, UCLA and Texas Tech. Polls make no sense, it's all a beauty contest, that's why I have always wanted an 8 or 16 team playoff for the FBS. 4 > 2 for now, I suppose.
I was waiting for the Kyshoen Jarrett hit the whole time
The soundtrack alone makes me want to run through a brick wall
This team is definitely special. I'm taking my Niece to the Pumpkin Patch next weekend so that will take my mind off
not having a game. Have fun shopping with your Mom!
College Football Final gave Dadi a helmet sticker!
GLORIOUS!
Without a doubt. Not to mention PLENTY of teams play each other in the next few weeks. There is gonna be a lot of movement soon. I could even easily see us ranked maybe 15 when we come off our bye and play duke.

Oy. I can't watch old helmet hits anymore without just thinking "welp, concussion"
I have a sneaky suspicion that there's gonna be another elimination week, so to speak, before the season ends.
Just hoping we can weather that storm when it comes.
Meh, I don't personally like the defenseless receiver stuff, but it doesn't matter. I'll take the W regardless
I would really consider Logan Thomas at quarterback, but it depends on which coaches we use. He and Loeffler seem to have really figured out this whole "quarterback" thing, whereas a lot of Tyrod's greatness (and I'm not saying he wasn't great, he was) was due to his mobility and ability to make things out of Stinespring's "offense". Sadly, we'll never know how good he would have been with the new offensive coaches building him up. The same goes for MV5

Street takes 2 steps with possession. If you argue that it was an incomplete pass, then you must also argue that it was a hit on a defenseless receiver, and thus a personal foul and 15yd penalty. You can't have cake and eat it too.
How sweet it is:

I think VT matches up much better with Alabama than with aTm. Freakishly athletic quarterbacks are the kryptonite of Foster's D. Furthermore, average defenses are holding VT to ~22 points at Lane stadium, ~16 on the road. If you think Foster's D can hold aTm to less than 3 TDs, I applaud your belief in Fosterball. However, I just don't see that happening. aTm scored 6 TDs on Alabama. Do you really think VT can hold them to 3 TDs?
Every time I see the play I think it should be incomplete as well, I don't think he ever had possession, he was juggling the ball when it first hit his hands
UGA has lost to two undefeated teams, so they're fine where they are. However, I do think UGA and Mizzou will fall as they will not be able to keep winning with their injuries. LSU's only loss is to a good UGA team, so that's fine to stay where they are.
I will not claim SEC bias until I see what happens with the FSU and Clemson game. If the loser falls out of the top 10, and/or behind USC, then I will proclaim S-E-C-nanigans.
I would love to see our defense against Mr. Footbal & Co. I think that would be a great time

The Hokies' formula for success this season is simple:
1) Just keep treating the next opponent/game like it's the most important on our schedule.
2) Play mistake-free football on offense and finish drives with points if at all possible.
3) Keep winning the field position battle.
4) Play lights-out defense.
5) Send the cavs running home to mommy.
