ESPN and SI both saying that Defensive Line Coach, and former Ole Miss coach Ed Orgeron will be the interim HC

The only poll where GT is ahead of VT is the "cbssports.com 126," which isn't used for anything. We're head in the AP and coaches' poll, where I don't believe GT is getting any votes at all. We're ahead in the BCS, too, but our rank there isn't terribly impressive...

They'll probably just play out with an interim and then they go in with everyone knowing they need a coach so they'll get first pick and considering its USC, shouldn't be hard to find someone willing to go there.

I'm fine with the rankings right now, but really confused how GT still has more votes than us...

Perhaps it is because at the time I was too young to really get the BCS standings, but I don't remember the ACC being looked upon the way the SEC is now. I mean, I remember BC and UVA both having ranked teams, and there being years where several different ACC schools made it to the top 25, but I don't remember it being quite the way the SEC is now. Maybe I was just too young then, or I'm a homer now, but I don't remember it being as hyped.

To beat PJ's offense, a team needs time to prepare, discipline, size and strength on the D-line, and am I forgetting anything? Oh yeah! Bud Foster in large doses. Agreed? Thank you :-)

Don't even know where to start with this post. I've been a Hokie my whole life. My dad was in the corp and graduated from VT in 1986 and my mom graduated in 1985 so I was literally born to be a Hokie. My parents soon started getting season football tickets and began taking me to the games when I was 3. Just this past February I received my acceptance letter to the best university on this planet and here I am at Virginia Tech in the class of 2017 still sitting in Lane Stadium every Saturday like I have been since the age of 3.

I am still not sold on Miami until we play them. I agree that Klemson is the class of the ACC but I would put VT, FSU, Miami, and Maryland as second tier (I am not sold on Miami or Maryland but they are playing well)

I remember a time in the 2000s when the ACC was like this....

Gives more time to raise money for a replacement.

Vad Lee is great when he's putting up 70 against FCS schools, but when he plays arguably the best defense in the country right now you want to bench him??? GT fans are delusional

Better get Time Cop on the case. Oh wait, he's the one behind the lost signal!

Tried to include picture but don't know how. Google Layla Kiffin...you'll be glad you did!

Kiffin is a jerk, but his wife sure is hot!

Not understand your own offense? You can do that. You go to Georgia Tech. Football literacy is at an all time low in this country.

McLaughlin's play was much improved over his performance against ECU and Marshall. The biggest offensive line issues came when Wang went out and they moved several folks around, resulting in some protection busts against the blitz.

I tend to agree, but from what I have seen, I think Kiffin is the kind of guy that you get rid of midseason. He never struck me as a great coach, more of just a hot head. USCw did the right thing, but given the preference, I would also wait until the end of the season.

Someone else responded that it was just one game, so then she argued about how UVA's offense has been ranked this season. So I responded to her reply to me with "Past results indicate current and future outcomes." She obviously said nothing back.

I think firing your coach mid season is a stupid idea. All the big names have a job and probably won't leave until the end of the season. So they will either pick up an average coach which they don't want or just designate an interim which probably won't be an improvement. You might as well just stuck it out and not proclaim your season over at week 5.
