I think we all do, and it is laughable that ESPN mistakes what conference we are in but the way they make money is by having people read their articles. If we recognize that they are bad, which is sad since that's their job, why are we investing so much time in a typo? I think what VTCEE is saying, and I tend to agree--there is so much football to be watched on the weekends, and discussed on this forum that a, somewhat expected (since they don't care much about the ACC), doesn't seem to justify this much attention. But that's just me. I have long since realized we won't get respect from ESPN which is why I joined this forum, to talk and read about VT and other CFB news.

Let her do what she does. I'm all for ESPN trashing us. We seem to play better when they're not serving up our Kool Aid.

She's also a Big Ten grad. Indiana, I think, not Northwestern, so forget about actual journalism. I stopped reading her a year or so ago. ESPN has nothing for me anymore. I think this is the way it is with most ACC fans:

ESPN doesn't think the ACC brings clicks and cash -> ESPN appoints HD -> Fans read ACC blog -> Realize there's nothing there -> Fans stop reading ACC blog -> ESPN realizes the ACC brings doesn't bring clicks and cash -> ...

If you do your job poorly the first time, the fan reaction will be to dismiss you, meaning you never have to do it well ever again, bar is set low, failure accepted, rinse, repeat

EDIT: Strike and italicized

I agree, he doesn't have the mindset for USC.
We love him for his lunch pail and his blunt manner.
They'd hate him for it.

Good call, thanks. Leaving my erroneous usage there. I remember hearing some college coach somewhere talking about 'matriculating the ball down the field' in reference to moving the ball, so I just figured it was synonymous with 'to make progress, to move through, to move forward' or something of that nature. But I just looked it up and you're correct

Got it. I agree with the polls that MD should be ranked above us. If you've seen them at all, they look really good. We have won, but haven't looked good at all, and now GT's undefeatedness doesn't look so good after UNC lost the state to ECU yesterday.

You heard it hear first, MD will beat FSU. FSU looked really bad against BC, who is terrible. FSU has MD/Clem/NCSt/Miami/Wake next, I'd be shocked if FSU won all of those, and surprised if they only lose to Clemson.

I've been saying Clemson wasn't as good as FSU, but this weekend I have to eat a little crow. I think Clemson is the class of the league, and FSU/Miami is second. Plus, I think FSU always loses to either NCSt or Wake, so I'm counting two losses in their next 5 games (probably Miami). Wouldn't surprise me if there was a third in there (a Carolina school).

Yea, it was a complete diss. I think Kiffin sort of touched Beamer's hand, did not make eye contact, and walked away. My whole family was watching the game together, and all of us saw the same thing but none of us could believe it. Frank is a legend. Kiffin is scum, and he showed why.

Crap, sorry for the accidental down vote. Someone pick that up for me?

Not ranked once again, I love it. Keep this team hungry.

Glad they made that adjustment after I spent a lot of money for that ticket, ha..

AJ Blue called his team out: Like the key word has been all day complacency, Blue said. I saw it earlier today. Just from the hotel, the bus ride over the lack of focus. Guys talking about other things. Like I said, its ECU. Nobody expects to lose to ECU, especially us. So the complacency was definitely there, the lack of focus was there.

May the fact that Butch Davis is no longer there to hand out pay checks or "get out of class free" passes contributed to the complacency?

Furthermore, Alabama didn't just beat Ole-Miss. They beat a "very good, ranked" Ole-Miss team. I'm not saying Ole-Miss is bad, but it's easy to dominate the top BCS standings when every single conference win counts as a "quality win". I know there are a lot of good teams in that conference, but the rankings inflate how those teams are perceived. I mean jeez, load up the preaseason top 25 with ACC teams next season, and suddenly wins over BC and LOLUVA look impressive. (That example isn't meant to compare BC and LOLUVA to Ole-Miss, only to demonstrate the principle of how subjective rankings are).

I was disappointed that these only in Youth Sizes. I was actually really excited about them:

Also, I've seen this uniform on sale for a while, but I don't think it was ever actually worn in a game.

I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to take this job. It is SO EASY to recruit players to come to USC. No matter how good the rest of the Pac 12 gets, USC will always be the school to play football at on the west coast. There's just no denying that.

In regards to Foster, I'd give it a 0.01% chance of him going there. While he may be the best DC in the country, USC always goes for the "sexy" coaches and he is just not one of them. I also think that if/when he leaves, it will be to some team on the east coast.

Well Maryland will probably be out next week because the play Florida State. I'm hoping Auburn can upset Ole Miss but that isn't likely. I don't see how Ole Miss is ranked after their zero points against Alabama.
