It's a self moderation system. Down voting was never intended to be the effect of a disagreement. I originally wrote this when the system went into place, "If someone posts a funny picture, witty reply, good statistic, something you like etc..., then give them a turkey leg. Conversely, if someone flames or wages a personal attack, then down vote. Do not down vote for disagreeing with someone's opinion. In general, vote up way more often than you vote down."

Disagreeing with people is normal. However, doing it in a respectful way is mostly an irregularity on the Internet. However, the community here is unlike most others. The vast majority of discussions are intelligent and polite (unless we're just posting GIFs, in that case: LOLZ.)

gwmcnew was wrong when he said, "I understand you don't come to another mans house and start shit but this isn't your houses so quit crying." Actually, this is everyone's house, the commenters and posters here make this place special.

Glad to see others bringing these points up. Can't understand how people can blame a coach if a kid falls in love with an out of state program.

It still doesn't excuse these kids who are products of Va. snubbing they're neighbors and communities by going out of state cause the SEC is hot right now. They can do what they want to, it's their decision to make but doesn't mean I have to like it.

I hate when I read things like this. How are these kids "snubbing their neighborhoods and communities?" I have friends who traveled out of state for college athletics. My community never felt snubbed; we supported these kids throughout their athletic and academic careers.

I'm a Maryland native, but still remember how I fell in love with Virginia Tech immediately after touring the campus for the first time. Why do some people seem to believe that a Virginia resident has some obligation to attend a Virginia school? If these kids go to some other school, and fall in love with it the way I fell in love with VT, then I wish them the best of luck (except when we play them of course).

In the last 2 years we have put Drew Harris and now Holland Fisher on hold cause they aren't academically eligible. If this was Alabama they would be in the 2 deep by now. I call that shooting myself in the foot.

I think we all understand the frustration that comes with losing big time recruits, but Virginia Tech is an educational institution first and foremost (if you don't agree with this, look at the numbers: Athletics grosses $60-$70 million annually, research gross ~$400 million annually). I'd love to see Harris and Fisher here, but if they can't meet the minimum academic requirements leaving high school, how are they supposed to perform academically in their classes at Tech? Perhaps VT just isn't the school for them...

EDIT: My apologies if I rehashed anything previous posters already mentioned, hope I wasn't too redundant.

This has to be Nnadi! Brown will choose someone else then VT and Nnadi will join Bud for the experience of beating the 'Hoo's I just know it!!

You can't teach size. Two way player that is under the radar seems to be a specialty. I'd say corner or fs which you can never have enough help in the secondary.

Yeah wasnt sure of intensity now. When I was at Prince George high school, TD was our big rivalry game. Back in oxendine and Ricky hall days. We actually beat them one year, but they dominated us most years.

Rivals is an understatement...that rivalry was ranked #6 or so in all high school football a few years back, plus both have won a state title in the last several years. And the schools are like 5 minutes apart.

It's funny you say that because that's what we chanted about Jay Smith in high school. He was supposed to be a one man wrecking crew and my hs shut him down and won 13-0.
Definitely a bunch of what could have beens on this list though.

Impressed at the professionalism and quality of that video. Great job, can't wait till the main trailer.

Said "who" on most of those kids. Just goes to show their end result...

This should be interesting. LC bird and Thomas dale are rivals of sorts. Looks like CJ and Payne will be getting it.

From just a disagreement to full on anger.
All I can think of right now:

Yep ...he is openly irritated about it and is openly pissed that's he's not considered a 5* and the second best dt in the state

The Pistol stuff we tried to throw in for the 2012 season was the problem. Our offense played pretty well in 2011, so what did we do... immediately toss out a lot of the concepts that worked so well for us and go with stuff that 1) didn't suit our personnel and b) only complicated the playbook more.

If you look at successful Pistol-Veer running QB's they are quick. Same goes for Oregon / WV backside option running QB's. They are quick and can change direction without losing speed. Quick to accelerate quick to change direction. LT has power and speed but one thing he does not have is that quickness when changing direction. As a runner he is most suited to going downhill between the tackles.

The shotgun inverted veer we ran so successfully in 2011 was replaced with more outside options for the QB rather than inside. We still pulled out the ol' inside QB veer on occasion but we were so busy trying to confuse the defense we ran plays that were not suited to our personnel.

I just can't stand the thought of LOLUVa landing any more of the Commonwealth's top talent this cycle.
