If I was coaching, I'd try to give our 1st-string as much of a break against Marshall, once we've built a comfortable lead.

Easier said than done. Besides Bowling Green last year, VT didn't have a comfortable lead on any FBS opponent. Also, Marshall scores a lot of points and was in every game last year except for WVU game. WVU scored 5 TDs in the first half, not sure VT has that kind of firepower.

I think SS was his natural position in HS if I'm not mistaken. I played against him a few times. Either way, he looked very comfortable and smooth at SS with a + arm

This is probably the ACC game I'm most worried about. Glad they have a short week too (Saturday against UNC (Marshall for us)), but still this will probably be a tough game like it always is. Glad our defense has a lot of experience against them, and I'm sure Bud will have them ready to eat GT's guts and ask for seconds. But our offense absolutely must score early and often. They need to rush the ball consistently to give the defense some help and regroup after every series.

Nope, switching to a 4-3.

I expect big things from GT this year. There defense will be improved, and PJ finally has a playmaker at QB again. Vad Lee can play.

It also seems that Logan can fire a dart to Demitri on a skinny post over the middle. Hopefully we'll see him nail that throw time after time during the season.

My fellow Hokies I will be in Afghanistan when the Hokies line up across from bama and proceed to #Beatbama. I will def order a shirt and take it with me and take some cool pics with it while i am there. I wish I was stationed back down in florida, there is a ton of bama idiots down there and I would photo bomb the hell out of them with that shirt.

Last year I bet some guy on ESPN fake internet money that our basketball team was gonna go undefeated and beat Duke in the national title game. For the first 7 games it looked like I might become an internet millionaire.
